    Toasted M813 Battery

Thanks yall, just had this happen yesterday, I found that my neg cable clamp had cracked and apparently worked itself loose and melted the post. I suspected that was the cause but this post helps confirm that

    Fuel filter pot ID

Well that's not very encouraging news. I disassembled the pot last night and what I assumed were socks turned out to be more like a filter element. It's still going to be useable with just the screens, but the single stud that tightens the hold downs will need to be shimmed with a piece of pipe...

    Fuel filter pot ID

Well I'll be picking it up Friday. Even if the filter socks are obsolete I think the steel mesh will work great as a prefilter before it gets to my racor pot and my spin on filters. ive searched for the TM's for the M49 and havnt had any luck. As for the filter bags, I've been using...

    Fuel filter pot ID

Found a filter pot on my local clist, the only info that the seller gave was that it came off an army fuel supply truck. And that it had 2 inch fittings. From the pictures it holds four filter elements and has some sort of sock that fits over each element. I'm waiting for the seller to get back...

M105A2 Load Out, Jefferson City Mo.

Thanks all for the offered assistance, I contacted Stein12501 and he's agreed to help me out in case I can't make the pickup. He's lucky enough to live within 20 miles of the location. I don't think my checking account could survive living that close to a GL lot. Having an extra trailer will...

M105A2 Load Out, Jefferson City Mo.

Looking for someone that might be interested in picking up my trailer and possibly store it for a day or a month. I just applied for my EUC so it could be another two months before I have to remove it. I'm just trying to make arrangements in case I'm not able to pick up within their ten days...

    lack of power under load

Sounds like your new IP may be turned up too high, do you have a pyrometer on your truck to see what your exhaust temps are running? The black smoke is unburned fuel. In your first post you mentioned you changed all filters, Was that including your air filter too?

The "HOOD IN THE FACE" club

Happened to me in a 90 GMC 1/2 ton, I had just got up to about 45-50 mph and I was about halfway across interstate 55 Mississippi Bridge. Luckily it was 2 am and not much traffic

Why GL Deuces have no Brakes

I just received my order of six wheel cylinder rebuild kits, and all of them have the square shoulder springs. Has anybody had problems from using these? Should I send them back and look elsewhere for the correct spring? I'd hate to waste all that time rebuilding and replacing, just to have them...
