Maintenance on wiper motor and linkage.

Thanks guys, I will check out the connector at the windshield. I have changed the switch as it didn't work at all when I got the truck. Might wait a while as I have the wading kit so a bit more involved to drop the screen. Thanks again.

Maintenance on wiper motor and linkage.

Hi guys, today was the first time, unbelievably, I have driven the m1097a2 in persistent rain. The wipers worked fine most of the time but would occasionally hesitate mid sweep for a second or 2. Is there any maintenance that should be carried out on the linkage? I can find anything in the...

    Transmission problems 4 speed.

Thanks, I too am thinking a wiring fault. As it's not all the time and related to bumps. It all started when I fitted new batteries, but I have been through the wiring in the battery box. I'll clean the plugs and retest the wiring as you have both said. Thanks.

    Transmission problems 4 speed.

Hi guys and gals, I'm still having problems with my 2004 M1097a2 4 speed transmission, the issue was it would randomly drop gear, hunt between gears and not change to top or lock in the torque converter. Transmission ATF drain plug location

So took the truck for another test drive and she is not changing to 4th OD and it doesn't appear that the converter is locking either. Checked the oil again with trans hot and had to remove a further 1/2 litre of ATF, now it is reading the correct level. When driving she wants to change but...

    Electric winch mount

Hi All, Had to recover burnt out car from local wood the other day and thought it would have been much easier if I had a winch on the front of my M1097a2. Has anyone retrofitted an electric winch (civilian winch, Warn or Milemaker etc) to their Humvee, ideally as a dismountable unit, I have...
