I've found a 5.9l 24 valve Cummins for my %2 Studebaker Duece, do I need to find a transmission or can the current deuce transmission be used? if so what do I need to make them mate? Thanks for any and all positive help.

no clanking sounds while it was running, just when it shut off. when I try to start it it just clicks. i bought two new batteries but it didn't change anything.
