Yanmar L70 Diesel Kit for MEP-016

You can be surprised if you want, I have tested it connected to my 12V F250, though only in nice weather.

Yanmar L70 Diesel Kit for MEP-016

I have a MEP-016D and as I recall the entire 24V electrical system consists of the starter, which will generally have enough excess power to crank on a well charged 12V battery. There is no onboard alternator or magneto that charges the cranking battery, unlike the MEP-016B, etc.

003A Down. Had to buy another generator.

I have a MEP-003a about 10-15 miles from you (in a shed on the family ranch on Hwy 26 about 10 miles east of DeRidder) doing the exact same thing, I have a spare injection pump for it, just have not found time to get it installed.

    Mep002a 208 instead of 240v

Where are you located, I am also the Laura outage area, and have a MEP-002a that got clobbered by a tree as well as a MEP-003a. Dealing with lots of issues here at the moment, for ourselves and family with generator, roof, and other issues, but I might be able to help if you are nearby. I am...

    MEP-002a damaged by Laura

The MEP-002a was the primary backup for my house, I also have a MEP701a which will of course not run as much, though I am not using it yet, as we bought a motorhome about 4 years ago which has an onboard 4000 watt gas generator, so we are living in the RV in the drive way for now. Water is back...

Hurricane Laura, power outage running on 803a

Glad it is working out for you, we are on generator power here in DeRidder also, unfortunately my MEP-002a got clobbered by a falling tree crushing the louver box and cracking the head. Thankfully I have other generators, also it sounds like we are starting to get power back in parts of town in...

    MEP-002a injection pump replacement?

I just went out and had my wife crank the MEP-002a while I watched the plunger, the solenoid lifts up while cranking, but the arm on the side of the injector pump does not move.

    MEP-002a injection pump replacement?

Well when it rains it pours, literally, we have a Cat 4 Hurricane on the way scheduled to be here in the overnight hours, and now my MEP-002a will not start. It ran fine when I last started it a few months ago, now it is not getting fuel to the injector pump. I have a spare new in the box...
