    M1009 Not Starting!!!

If you haven’t you might want to check and make sure you have power to your fuel shut off solenoid, sounds like you may not have power there if it had been running ok. Maybe an ignition switch problem??

Sorry, I just looked back at the manual and it doesn’t really cover your problem:doh:, so you probably have already looked at it.

    M1031 Contact

Yes the linkage is adjustable slightly, with the governor off and the truck at idle you should have just a slight amount of free travel before the governor starts to actuate the throttle. I did have one other thought if the linkage is not be the problem, I would disconnect the ramp generator...

    M1031 Contact

Are you using the gauge to check it or an external meter? I would verify the truck gauge with a multi-meter. Also do you notice an engine rpm difference as you adjust it? In other words is the adjustment screw doing anything? I would also check fur the governor linkage binding, if it is...

    M1031 Contact

HI again, glad you got it fixed. I have a couple of other bits of info that may be helpful to someone, the first is a simplified wiring diagram I made for the governor controls (all I did was name the parts and draw in the relay but I found it helpful), and the second is the PTO manual that...

    M1031 Contact

It sounds like you are figuring it out, but to clarify, The over speed control just turns on and off power to pin 1 of the governor control, if you have power to pin 1 than the over speed control is not the problem and you need to follow the trouble shooting procedures the linked manual. (also...

    M1031 Air Compressor parts needed

No, the pressure switch will actually only need 1 set of contacts, though a switch with dual contacts (220 switch) may be easier to find. If you look on the inside of the access door for the generator controls should have the wiring diagram for the generator/compressor. As stated before all the...

    PTO driven generator weight

Thanks for the info, I am talking about the Lima alternator, not the generator welder combo. Justin

    PTO driven generator weight

Hi does anyone know how much the generator weighs for a 1031 truck. I have a lead on one for a spare (not that I need one but.....) But am unsure of the feasibility of relocating it as I would most likely have to ship it somehow... Knowing exactly what kind of weight I am talking about should...

    Haeter core help

I just installed a autozone core, and it worked fine. I did have to grind the strap a little to clear the lines good. Make sure it is ordered for a vehicle without A/C :) It was also made of aluminum but it was the same size. Hope that helps a little.

    M1031 Governor linkage problem

That would be great if you could find another linkage. After I compared your pictures to my truck, I realized that, yes mine was totally screwed up :roll:Any help you could give in procuring a new linkage would be much appreciated. Thanks again Justin

Here are some more pictures, but I am thinking that I really need a new linkage assembly if any one has one. Thanks Justin
