I am looking for brushes for the hobart bros 5kw generator, I pulled them out and can make out clearly , on the one and 472? on the other, I cant make out what the last number or letter is, they seem to bethe same width and length, and the 472G is double the thickness,, does anyone know if these...

well I went ahead and got the assy off, used a large gear puller, now I am in need of brushes for the unit it says hobart bros 472G clear on one and 472? on the other, any help would be appreciated

I have a 1950 hobart bros genset, 5kw, jb5ac- it needs brushes in the genenator repaired or replaced,it has what appears to have 4 sets of 2 brushes side by side, held in with spring clips, I was able to get a few brushes loose and out, but the remaining are stubborn and wont budge, it appears...

wow,, with the back end of that so high,, it would only take one person on a phone or panic stop and the operator would be in trouble,, I use the word operator very loosely,,thats crazy

so here goes, I have had this old generator for some time now, has worked and started like a charm, I now have a really bad oil leak from the front of the engine, almost so bad as I put it in and it leaks out almost as fast. I havent started taking it apart yet as I have a accy tank and box...

I have to agree with Ks.jeff,, I have always had luck by hitting them as if installing the ,, a couple of hard blows seems to loosen the rust ,, than alternate blows on either side as if taking it off,,, you may have to hit it as if putting it on a time or two,, but that will get it off, ,, hope...

I think I have heard that the isuzu truck tires, low pro 19.5 will fit. but havent found any affordable enough to try them,

here is one of my m116 genny trailers, I use around the farm, mostly pulled with the tractors, and my ford f250,,, I love these trailers for firewood out of the woods,, teh 105's & 103's work good for stacking the wood after its out of the woods,,, too big to get around on the trails.
