    CUCV Camo Paint Pattern

I know this thread is as old as the hills - but a question, none-the-less. Can I just rattle can the black and brown after a complete green air compressor/paint gun job. If yes - it looks like the camo wasn’t “taped off” except maybe something between the black and brown. I’ll give it a hard...

    Cold start test

Fired right up. Almost as quick as summer. Much much quicker than when the the injector pump was leaking allowing it to loose prime regularly.

    Cold start test

    Completed successfully- woohoo!

    Onward

Batteries and alternators seem to be right - on to cleaning, new top seal, cleaning, replace back window, cleaning… at some point prepping for and then paint

Maybe the last charging system question

Still the same - I am running the aftermarket alternator with no pulsating gen2 light.

Maybe the last charging system question

The alternator shop put in a new regulator, rectifier, and a condenser (the condenser was not previously replaced) in the factory alternator #2. I’ll put it on the truck soon - fingers crossed.

New starter and a couple of questions.

Yep - bracket is 100%. I don’t guess it would hurt to have it rebuilt and on the shelf.

New starter and a couple of questions.

My plan was to replace the starter and have -what I guessed was- the original rebuilt. I prefer rebuilt originals. What came off (picture) was the smaller gear reduction type. I read Chevy started using these in ‘88, so now I’m thinking this might have been a replacement and probably no need to...

    Mystery sort of solved

Scotch blocks are out - need to repair a couple of wires. Found the brake switch. Little white nub is in with brakes not applied out when applied. I’ll pull it out and check it - probably tomorrow’s job. Thanks for pointing me in what I, too, believe is the right direction.

    Time for some wiring

Insulation is pulling back with some exposed wire. Concern is “still working” might be temporary.
