    Front glad hand removal/ relocate...

Thanks! Funny enough I found your YouTube channel just earlier today and was watching all the super helpful videos, but that one doesn't seem to show up for some reason.

    Front glad hand removal/ relocate...

I'm not currently having issues, but removing the front gladhands and possible leak points sounds great! Does the below annotations of the schematic referenced match your guidance? I want to make sure I'm understanding correctly. It appears as though the two-way check valves can be removed as well?

Stuck on the side of the road! Blew a ton of oil out, not sure where from

Thanks for the tips. Yeah usually I'm a torque wrench only guy, exceptions include being on the roadside... There sure is more vibration than I was expecting, I think a fair amount of that is the cab shocks being adjusted too high and the front tie rod needs an aligned. The front two tires are...

Stuck on the side of the road! Blew a ton of oil out, not sure where from

Update: It appears as though there's no cracks or blown lines, just the compressor mount bolts loosened while driving, allowing oil to flow out fast enough to be scary looking, but probably lost less than a gallon. Percentage wise, that's not so bad! I'm definitely feeling lucky I found it...

Stuck on the side of the road! Blew a ton of oil out, not sure where from

I see one bolt miraculously is entirely backed out on the timing case. Hard to see in the photo. It seems like there's too much oil for it to all be from that one... But tightening that, adding oil, and looking underneath is a good plan

Stuck on the side of the road! Blew a ton of oil out, not sure where from

Please help me out! Just 40 minutes of driving on the freeway (it's about 95deg out) and when I stopped for fuel I noticed a lot of oil on the frame and leaf springs of the truck (1994 M1081, CAT 3116). Dipstick reads extremely low, below cold fill. I did find a loose bolt on the front of the...

    Bought myself a project! 1997 M1081

It sure did! It was a bit of an adventure with the shipping logistics, and the semi broke down part way but it finally made it on Mar 17. So that was about 4 months from when I bought it.

    Bought myself a project! 1997 M1081

I mistakenly called it a 1993.. it's a 1997. That's embarrassing... not sure how that happened! Thankfully it appears the only cannibalization that has occurred is to the door latch mechanisms; so that is high on the repair priority list - along with new tires. I thought I'd try my luck at...

    Bought myself a project! 1997 M1081

Hello, this my first post and I'm excited to be here! I somewhat impulsively bought a 1997 Stewart and Stevenson M1081 with the hopes of getting this thing setup as a phenomenal off road camping rig, while respecting it's origins as best I can. I know the newer models don't have the same...
