If you want to have someone "go though" your new-to-you truck, that's exactly what the PMCS section of the TM is for. I would advise downloading the TMs and conducting a full PMCS. You'll not only "go through" the truck yourself, you'll also learn a lot along the way.
I wouldn't worry about a wide spade on a different glowplug. When I switched from Wellmans to AC60G's the spade was wider, so I just gave the spade connectors a little trim with the bench grinder then they fit in the existing wire ends just fine. There are a few threads on here where people...
I got all mine out without special tools and without beak-offs. Some came right out easily and others were a bit more tricky. In particular, #7 didn't want to come out so I just kept ratcheting it around and applying gentle pressure until it eventually came out.
