2018 Findlay Oh Armed forces day buy-sell-trade & Info

I also will have NOS green wood chock blocks with chain leads, and M929/M930 right side fuel tank protectors. The chocks are mostly in real good condition but a couple have the wood split from drying out. I will bring them all for first one's interested choice.

2018 Findlay Oh Armed forces day buy-sell-trade & Info

I will be by the open shelter on the side near the displayed trucks, where I was last year. I will be bringing some of these new old stock or new items. M939 Mufflers - $90 ea M939 Cab mounted left fenders - $50 ea M939 Cab mounted right fenders - $75 ea M939 Hood mounted right fender - $300...

Louisiana - State Asking for NHTSA sticker for deuce titled and registered in 2009

Hopefully more than ten people think we should be able to drive our trucks on the road. Thanks to all down there that use these vehicles to help others in times of disaster. That should shame those that think only the police and other public servants help people. Yes, they do a lot for us and...

CTIS: How I fixed my 5 flashing lights

Got my new-to-me pcu in and at least one of the three solenoids were good. I knew it was a gamble getting the untested unit for as low a price as I did. Changed it out and system works like before. It aired up a low tire pressing the runflat and it kicked back to highway on it's own and topped...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Got my CTIS back to working again. It had a bad control solenoid. It worked last year when I parked it but didn't work since the first time I fired it up in February's warm spell. It was flashing all five lights as soon as it ran it's pressure test and would blow air out of the threaded hole in...

    GL Lost Surplus Contract

And you will pay a premium price for everything they auction. They start most rolling stock at the end user's price (value). Or at least what I would be willing to pay, leaving no room at all for any profit. Their guy on this thread already said no more mixed bargain triwalls so, to me, that...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

In the last couple weeks I put a new windshield wiper reservoir w/pump on one, new wiper arms on one, new hood airlift hook gasket on one, ordered and received three antenna mounts (will install next warm spell), and moved both around in my yard to spare the lawn. Even took one for a five mile...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Saw that one on "Mousetrap Monday". Pretty cool.

What did you do to your trailer today.

I agree. It's not my video. Just shows how it's made. Nice thing is that even if the water freezes it still catches them. Then I just have to transplant them or give to the cat for a "real" toy.

CTIS: How I fixed my 5 flashing lights

Thanks Andyrv6av8r. I already ordered a used pcu off ebay figuring at least two of the solenoids should be good. At least with it I can cut into the insulation and figure out terminal label letters to which solenoids and cheaply eliminate questions pertaining to consistency of test outcomes...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Put my rodent destroyer to work in an M1082. Had two M929/M930 complete cargo cover kits stored in there and spotted a few droppings. Uncrated the covers and luckily no damage to anything even though one had a nest in it. Picked these up after my tree mishap last year.

CTIS: How I fixed my 5 flashing lights

Kind of an old thread but actually the best one I found describing this that a google search brought up. I have a full air blow by coming out of the threaded vent on the PCU, and these solenoids were my first suspects. All five lights flashing. Tore the PCU completely apart to make sure no...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Agree with the spring replacements! If I do a frame off, I will have a full load of scrap just from all the rust that will fall off. Hey, but she runs like a top and the heater works great!

Nevada - 5 ton's license plates pulled by DMV

There must not be any activity in the gas and oil industry over there. Nearly every company in my area that has anything to do with pipelines or reclamation has an M939 series truck doing something. I have uploaded quite a few photos of different trucks on the "MV spotted" thread. It wouldn't be...

    Distracted Driving

And Germany has the autobahn with a lot of sections having no speed limit! We have extremely low speed limits on our highways and more fatalities. Hmmm. Maybe we are so used to the slow speeds that we get complacent, thus failing to use turn signals or drive in the proper lane and pass in the...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Mine blows very hot heat. Single digit temps with snow don't allow me to turn down the defrost so I mix with floor heat and crack my window about an inch. That is with the heater fan on one notch below the highest. I have never had a square body Chevy with a bad heater and I have had quite a few...

    Distracted Driving

My instructor in CDL training told us to use flashers if going 15 under the speed limit. I do it now in my VW on my windy country road that has no speed limits posted (meaning 55 in Ohio), any time I get behind someone poking along at 35. Better a ticket (if that actually is the law here) than...
