Just checked the first post again for the proposed date, and then read the rest of the thread. Looks like the 2nd week of August is open now. AND, i've got off for the entire week.
Good news/bad news situation.
Just found out that the iola MV show has been canceled. I had to make a choice between that, and the minnesota get together. Well, the choice should be easy now. However, I have already requested off from work for the 2nd week of August for the Iola show. It's...
When I bought the truck, the previous owner had already sourced the front piece. The hood blanket was something I sourced separately. And it is a harder piece to find. There are also side pieces that I have yet to find.

Didn't realize how dirty she was until I hit it with the pressure washer.
So, she got a bath. It was over due. Had to get all that road salt off.
Once daylight hit, I noticed some rust forming where this bracket touches the pipe. I pulled the bracket, sanded, and slobbered a lot of paint...
I'm not sure what amassing is? That must be another -10 term I'm not familiar with.
As previously mentioned, i'm not the one that owns a hemtt, another local guy does. I was inquiring in case I might ever have to help another MV'er out in a pinch. Thanks.
Just ordered my fasteners (2.75") from Albany County Fastener for my MRAP wheels and Peashooter adapters.
Now I need to pick up fluids, and other small bits to get ready for a long weekend in the next month.
Right now i've collected:
~ 4 x 395's at 80% tread.
~ 6 x aluminum MRAP wheels
~ 6 x...
Last question (i promise): at my work when we have a truck break down if we need to move it but the air tanks are empty, we can hook up the glad hands together from one truck to the other to air up the dead truck. Will this work with the hemtt from a deuce so the hemtt has temporary air brakes?
So locally we have a guy with a hemtt. The only other MV's around here are m35's. If he broke down, I would assume we shouldn't even attempt it even just to get him off the roadway to a safe spot?? The hemtt is what? 38k lbs?
This week my wheel adapters get taken over to get powder coated along with a couple of other parts. If he treats me right, a LOT more parts will be going to him. I also ordered my orings for my mrap wheels, and tuesday will be ordering my hardware.
Myself and some of my merry band of misfits from Wisconsin's west coast will probably try to make a meeting for food and planning. It's a long haul for my crew and I, and it's in the middle of my busy season (I captain a semi-pro paintball team that travels the country), but I would love to...
I plan on deleting mine in the next couple of months. I'll try to salvage what I can, but had tossed the idea of re-using some of the parts as mentioned in post #92 on this thread.
Last night at work....
We have a department in a different location as our main warehouse, and this company relies HEAVILY on our spotter trucks. Well, said department is basically on top of a hill. Only way to get there is up. Our spotters couldn't navigate the surrounding hills last night...
