Need Help Dissassembling a Ring Mount

Get the dimensions of the ball bearings. I can order almost any size ball and the retainers from a bearing manufacturer. Getting the races welded up and polished back to dimension will be the most tedious part.

    Medium towbar adapters?

I sold a medium towbar with a set of 1" adapters the other day for $275. It was a nearly new one, with the MWO collars. FreightTrain bought it face to face. Shipping would be high, it weighs around 140# plus the weight of the adapters, probably another 12# or so.

I have a gasser left front fender on my parts truck. Not sure if it is better or worse than yours, but you are welcome to it. Also have a replacement cab on the parts truck, you may want to look at that as well.

    hyd power steering info

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: hyd power steering info If the frames are heat treated, you don't want to weld them. I have welded countless frames over the years with no issues. Use the proper rods to avoid hydrogen embrittlement and you are fine. I don't think deuce frames are heat treated, that started...

A pump up bug sprayer works great. Take the nozzle off the wand and put on a piece of rubber tubing to get through the fill hole.

Need "O" Ring for M35A3 Super Single Rims

You can buy rolls of O-Ring material in various thicknesses from McMaster Carr (on-line). You lay the stuff in the groove and cut it an inch or so long. Then, you get a razor blade and cut both ends at a 45 degree angle and superglue them together. I do this all the time on filter housings, pump...

Paint it a 3 color purple camo. I saw a photoshopped picture of a deuce in that scheme, it definately stands out.

    Vinyl cab part needed

There is a rubber piece that an awning shop can sew in that will work. The awning on my Dads motorhome uses it, has the same profile as the old "rope in canvas" did. Hit the camper/motorhome places up and see who does their awning repairs.

5 ton injectors in a ldt??

You're not going to get a huge amount of extra power out of an LDT. You can swap in the LDS engine and go up to 190-210 HP depending on which engine you get. From what I have seen myself, EGT gets out of hand pretty quickly when you start hot rodding the LDT engine.

    Return line time

You want to use "Yor-Lok" or "Swagelock" fittings and ferrules. McMaster carr carries Yor-Lok. I use Nylon 11 tubing on diesel fuel systems. McMaster Carr has all the stuff you will need.

Any one use house paint on their truck??

RE: Paint Time for my 2 cents worth. Some of the newer latex flat paints are incredibly durable, easy to use, no hazardous solvents, and water clean up. I painted a steel I beam sign frame with a flat red 14 years ago, and it is holding up well. I am going to get some matched to 383 and try...

FDC bypassed is fule too high

I used a Fluke 87V multimeter and a K thermocouple probe. Since then, I have run across an old Westach aircraft pyrometer that reads from 100-1900 F. I think I paid $20 for the Westach unit, and $15 or so for the thermocouple probe. Search E-Bay for "Aircraft EGT Gauge" and you will find a...
