I saw one for the first time at BIC (Blount Island Command) and took some close up shots. They are definitely not your average truck. It has all kinds of special packages on it. You definitely could not replicate one yourself. I will post the pics later today.

M939 a1's and a0's have the same motor as the m809 series so the pm stuff for the motors is applicable to both.

I had a similiar problem with with the transmission being stuck in 3rd. It was caused by a little corrosion on the valves located underneath the transmission in the pan. Over time a little water will settle out of the fluid from sitting up over a long period of time and corrode the valves...

Same starter except the bolts are smaller on the 8.3 motor. You need to get the special bolt sleeves in order for it to work and also rotate the head. There are a couple of 24V civilian starters that work just fine for the 8.3 and is alot lighter than the huge Lee starters.

It would be a major under taking. Different radiator is used, different intakes, different exhaust piping, different linkages, ....etc . its more than just simply switching a motor out.

For the record. M939A2 wheel seals are NOT the same as the M939A1s or the older 800 series.. The front wheels actually take two different size bearings.. Not sure about the rears on the A2s.
