Added the chain to the end of the winch cable. Added oil to the winch left reserviopr, and it is leaking , probably from the seal on the gear in and out selector. Shall I change it, or shall I add a deal leak rerpair fluid?

Well I finally positioned the winch body in between the frame extentions and alighned the 12 mount holes. Once I install the 12 mount bolts I shall paint it.

Well today I chained my winch in between the two extended frame peices, oiled the sufaces and with a block of wood hammered theninto place. Dont seem to have the bolts that match the winch body , so I shall pull one from anotyher truck to serve as an example

WEll today I mountee the frame extention , left side, for my winch mount. Used 1/2" and 5/8" fasteners with lock washers. preped the plates with anti rust priner too. loot of good exercise today! And I love using my antique offset wrenches!

I found my M35 with the air compressor belt broke, as if the compressor was stuck. replaced the belt and found the air pressure going to high, So I ordered a new and adjustable regulator. Vendor said he never saw one lick this!I may also install a test guage for it

hey tobys, as a matter of fact the bumper DID unwind, its a good thing I was not near it. Now when I lift it back up, I shall rig it correctly!

Im a strong paratrooper, but I thought it best to use my engine crane to lower the bumber. I also found most of the new fasteners I will need, all grade 8. i ordered the lock washers too. And heres a picture of my "power tool", its an oldie, and I think it was used to fix WW1 tanks !

Hello goodwithwood35, i do have a magic potion for these old fasteners its 50% acetone mixed with 50% tranny fluid. Helps dealing with them alot. I also have pipe extentions to put over my breaker bars. Remem,ber , I was born in the 82 AIRBORN motor pool !
