I did have youtube up in another tab but i think my browser may need to be updated as right before i got off it did the same thing on another site. Sorry for the inconvenience you can delete thread if you like.
Don't know if it is just me or not but a few times today i get a cobbled up black picture on my screen that covered some of the forum. It looks like large pixels, and almost like a video is trying to pop up or something of that nature. Like I said it could be my computer but thought I would let...
Here is a pdf to some info about ALK. AUE is the newer verson of it and is better in some applications. I dont know what automotive stores you have over there but here we use baxters. Anyone who sells PPG should carry the ALK/AUE line since it is a ppg product. All the colors can be custom mixed...
Rhino lining is a great idea for the bottom but if you have a tight budget try a product called raptor. Its around $120 for a six bottle kit and the gun is around 20 bucks. six bottles should be enough for the bottom of the cab. we usually prep by a good cleaning and sanding with 80 grit. As for...
This weekend and today I managed to patch the holes I cut and also fixed the hinge. I will no longer have to purchase one thankfully! Also finished up the new nut plates for the door and all the small little projects that i needed to do in the drivers door jam. I ended up re drilling the hinges...
thanks guys! lots of good info. I will be doing mine as soon as i have the truck all prepped and painted that way if sand gets in there i can clean it all out.
I have not changed all my fluids yet but i do agree with this statement. We changed my fathers rear diff to synthetic and added anti slip and it was horrible.... went to normal oil and worked great. basically it was too slick for his amount of torque. I can definitely see where this could come...
I think those are what I'm going to go with on mine. The xmls look awesome but alot of work and money compared to just putting these on the old rims. Looks sweet and I'm glad to hear there is a noticeable difference. Are yours gov liq? or did you buy new?
These stupid plates kicked my butt today. The drill bits i needed where MIA or broke, had to make a few trips around town finding parts which we all know sucks up the time  I ended up being able to keep the upper plate in (didnt have much of a choice it turns out). The bottom plate ate two...
Call these guys. They are very helpful and can answer all your questions. It is the actual CARC paint not house paint so you will pay more.... if you want on the cheap do what everyone else said and search the forums. If you want CARC call these guys though. good luck

they would probably work but I wanted to open up and remove those plates. Im going to upgrade to grade 8 nuts and bolts and hopefully a bit bigger too. If i where going to keep the OEM stuff i think that would really be my only option haha. Thanks for the input though!
Attempted to remove the drivers door today to no avail. The nuts on the door pin broke off. Long story short broke a hinge trying to get the pins out even with heat, penetrating oil and alot of muscle. All but 2 bolts broke off on the nut plates for the hinges where they mount to the truck :cry...
I called them and they were way beyond helpful! Very nice people and more then willing to help. If anyone has questions on carc or needs material i would call them in a heartbeat. Thanks for the info!
A few tips I learned from driving the fire trucks are the Captain (co pilot in this case) should help with lane changes and pulling out on to roads. Sounds dumb I know but when in a big red truck with lights people do really really stupid things and its not much different in green iron. So my...
