    Rear locker engagement

It feels better than with protection? [emoji13] Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Rear locker engagement

That right there (assuming proper setup and maintenance) says you're seriously special. :D I was in a truck that the gov-bomb went off in. An '83 short bed chevy with a 400 motor, blew as we transitioned from a pasture to highway. Scary as ****.

    Surging when off throttle

To tell if the filter is clean, cut it open or just assume if I only get a few more days that I have trash in the tank? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Surging when off throttle

Well, the filter helped for a bit. Stopped surging when off throttle for a few days, but now it's back at it again. Parked the truck for now and driving the jeep daily for the moment. I did notice that after the filter was changed, I am still getting a surge around 45 mph. Basically, if I hold...

    CUCV 6.2 K5 Trailer wiring?

I was under the impression that the military trailer lights were 24V. Might want to put a voltmeter to it. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Surging when off throttle

Swapped out the fuel filter. Didn't sound promising even after I let the air run out of the system (idle and a couple throttle presses). I'll see how it does on the drive home today.

    Cucv needed atlanta area

Dammit Dave. I used to live in Snellville and was up there Friday and Saturday (my 1028 was a common sight at the auto parts stores). I will be back in March, if you still need help I'll drive the CUCV. Also, I turbocharged mine over the summer so I'd be happy to answer any questions you have...

    Surging when off throttle

Thanks Barrman. New Wix fuel filter arrived yesterday, I run these checks today, weather permitting.

    Surging when off throttle

It was a kit that had the turbo charger and manifold and about 85% of the supporting hardware and gaskets. I did change out the mechanical lift pump while I was at it, IIRC. Is there a pressure gauge port on these somewhere? I know the modern ones have a test port on the fuel rail, as do the...

    Surging when off throttle

No, nothing else changed. It's mostly a banks kit. Do you mean tool or mounted in the truck? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Surging when off throttle

Tried it with motor warm. Not only did the motor not want to hold a steady rpm, the surging is worse now (very noticeable at hwy speeds) and it didn't die during the test. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Surging when off throttle

Thanks Barrman, I'll give it a try in the morning. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Surging when off throttle

Ok, any idea how to test of if it's the IP or cable? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Best source for 700R4?

Too bad you're not closer to Red Stick, La. I'd be happy to lend a hand. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Surging when off throttle

Could that cause it to surge up/down, up/down, up/down every time I let off the accelerator? It's not a one time kick in rpms like I would expect a stuck cable to do. It cycles until idle. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Surging when off throttle

I was thinking IP. What cable are you referring to? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Surging when off throttle

Ok, just like the title says. When I let off the throttle to slow down the engine surges up and down until I start applying the brakes. I have a banks turbo on my truck, I think it was doing this before the install but I can't recall for sure. If so, the turbo exaggerated the issue. Any ideas...

    Best source for 700R4?

Following. I'm in the same boat, after owning my 1028A1 for 5+ years I've made enough South/West Texas to Atlanta, GA trips that I'm ready for 60 mph, lol. I think I'm currently doing number 10.....not counting all the New Orleans to Atlanta trips I did when I worked there. (20+) Sent from my...

How to spot 1028 vs 1008

Yep, knew that. Am I correct in thinking all 205 equipped ones have limited slip in the front? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

How to spot 1028 vs 1008

Yeah, it was. It sounded like you were asking what the 205 was, no offense. That's how I have ID'ed them in the past (because I find the 205, rear locker, and limited slip up front more valuable). Never knew about the overload springs, thought they all had them except the blazers. Learned...
