Oh, and as you can see, the radiator cap is kind of hard to get at, but that doesn't concern me to0 much since I pretty much abandoned it anyway when I mounted the elevated remote coolant reservoir since now the radiator cap is below the level of the coolant, I can't really ad coolant to the...
The absolute biggest issue I had was the fact that the manufacturers of the radiator welded that bottom port facing UP. So because the alternator/generator is right there, it became quite a problem for me having to bend a pipe at a really sharp angle down, and almost bending back on itself to...
I was just looking at the old radiator yesterday realizing that. Just because it's riddled with holes doesn't mean the brass contained in it isn't atleast worth something. Need to figure out where I can take it. I live so far from anywhere, that I'll probably have to wait til I am going to...
Yep, very simple fix. Mine was actually running diesel fuel down my right leg. Ha ha Just take the handle out, and replace the o rings on it and put it back in, and good as new. I just took mine into my local auto parts store and they were able to match the o rings. Was very nice to not have...
The radiator was $235 and then around $100 more in random hoses that I needed, and the remote coolant reservoir. So around $335 or so in money, but if you take my time into account and the fact that it took me ALL DAY to do it, I probably would have been better off to just spend the $650 for a...
Okay, so some of you might remember that I discovered my radiator was completely shot beyond repair. It was so badly corroded throughout all the water passages that it just could not be fixed. Well, I did not want to have to spend between $650-$1000 for a new radiator, and that's all I was...
Yeah, having multiple trucks is the way to go for sure! I just have a hard time focusing on more than one. Ha ha. But I am definitely going to be trying to acquire an M925A2 this year. Maybe I can just paint that one military colors and use it in parades and my Deuce can be just for fun.
Dang it, I have a paint scheme dilemma here.
Here is what my truck looked like when I bought it.
I had bought the new soft top for it last year in desert tan, because it was always my plan to paint it desert tan when I got around to it. Wanted to paint it very similar to this,
So I...
Here's my 66 M35A2 wo/w with headlights mounted low,
and my 67 M35A2 w/w with headlights mounted high. I can see how if the headlights were in the lower position on the winch truck, that the bumper sticking out there so far could get in the way of the effective illumination. The federal...
Very nice! I think it looks really good with that 1101/1102 bed on there. Still haven't really figured out the difference between the 1101 and 1102 trailers. But yeah, it looks awesome!
I can't wait to get my 67 the way I want it so I can just drive it. Right now I'm too paranoid to drive...

My camera was not wanting to take a very good picture the other day, but my tower consists of three really tall pine trees with dacron rope shot up through the branches with an air cannon, suspending my Buckmaster inverted V off center fed multi band dipole with the center about 50-60 feet off...
Dang it! Yeah, if one guy could put that up and it didn't require any serious guying, that would make one heck of a field day or just mountain top DX fun setup! Just pull it around with you wherever you want to operate from. I am betting that it has hydraulics or something to erect the tower...
Both the trucks I did, it took me a gallon and a half. So I'd say buy no less than 2 gallons. Always better to have some left over than to not have enough!
Not real pricey and convenient is a very good reason! ha ha I don't like having to wait for three weeks for the paint I ordered to come. Especially when I find out I did not order enough half way through the paint job. that's why I ended up painting the bumper and grill and wheels black on...
Yep, I've also used Rapco paint a couple times now and really like it. It is very easy to use and very forgiving unlike some automotive paints I've used before.
Here are two paint jobs I've done using Rapco
Well......my radiator turned out to be way worse than I thought it was. This is on my 1966 M35A2. Turns out it was so corroded inside that so many of the water passages were so extremely thin, that there was just no way to fix it. I'd fix one hole, and three more would pop up. It was so thin...
