Are you holding it in "START" till you see oil pressure registering on the gauge? This isn't like other machines where you release the START switch as soon as it fires off. You have to hold it in START till its running and it is registering oil pressure. Otherwise it will shutdown.

How was load measured? The onboard load meter or with an external amp meter?

Well crap. I've confirmed the wire is brazed and not soldered on there. I don't have the appropriate torch setup for that. :(

Going to see if I can repair this thing. The wire was jacked up sideways and twisted between the starter and solenoid which looks to have pulled all the slack out of it. I think that is the root cause of the problem. The wire looks plenty long to get back on the tab and reach the solenoid...

Priority parts in my opinion are filters, fluids, and a selection of all the rubber stuff - Belts and hoses. Fuel pump. fuel leaks are what I find most the common problem on these machines. if you run the machine a lot then I would recommend having a water pump. They tend to start failing...

+1, check your voltages and frequency in the house. Don't blindly trust the meters on the generator.
