I had thought of that, but i would really like to stay away from it if possible. I had planned on just installing safety straps around it, incase it lets go. hopefully they wouldnt need to be used!!!! besides we are fortunate enought to have front wheel drive to get us home!!

Ive seen some dumb setups, worse than this before in the civi truck world, oak 2x4 lift blocks, stacked lift blocks u name it... still this seems pretty bad, shoulda at least made it as wide as the Ubolts, Does anyone else have a "good" picture of how they mounted a rockwell to their bobbed...

especially not in the trenton area!, he should have invested in a MV before a trailer.. hopefully when it rips off of his sheetmetal mounted trailer hitch and wrecks the rearend of his car it will be as he pulls into his driveway and not on the freeway

Right on man, thanks for the input, ive never heard of it being done that way, but ill look into it, (im also new to this truck) sounds like a better plan, headed back to dirty jersey next month taking some leave, i think i might actualy have a couple sets of springs at my folks house from when...
For the suspension i plan on using one of the M105 trailers chassis and springs underneath the deuce frane, to avoid going with blocks. I know the controversy some people have about that method, like cutting and blocking the xmembers on the trailer chassis to make room for the driveshaft, but i...
Started my bob project today, "won" a few months back a '70 kaiser 27k miles 460 hours (god only know if the gauges lie) not a speck of rust and just serviced by the look sof it. Pulled the bed off with my pickups 12k winch, worked out good till it caught my emergency air valve handle and broke...
