Hi all, I'm trying to set up a trailer plug on a M416
I have a civvy 7 pin round connector, they type used in commercial applications
Now if I look on line there’s about 20 different ways people have these things wired
How are they supposed to be set up???

#2 12v power...
Well since you’re from PA, I would guess you would be getting Pennsylvania sweet crude.
And I do believe some of the oil field pumping engines out there run right off the straight crude,
So I would say what the heck, filter it good and maybe cut it with some kerosene

I was looking at a 15 amp timer in home depot, that should be more than enough to take care of a little block heater

its not a CUCV but still its an 83 chevy C30 with the 6.2 so same family
but i was wondering if there was any harm in puting a timer on the block heater on a 6.2
the heater would kick on at about 4 AM so by time a walk out the door to start it up at 7 AM it would be a nice warm...
get a bottle of powerservice diesel fuel supplement, to add when you fuel up it will bump the fuel gell point down
and get some diesel 911 for if it gells up that will get you running again when your stuck

get an aftermarket transmission cooler, a big one
overheating is pretty much the only think that kills TH400's
and just keep up with you fluid and filter changes the book says every 25000 or something like that
but i go by fluid color and smell, if its dark or light or smells burnt it...

sorry wrong again the heavy fuel oil you think of is "bunker oil" almost like asphalt, (the oil not the pavement) that was used in ships and locomotives and boilers
