Can someone tell me if this part will fit my alternator? My model number (LN Type No) is A0013002AE (see pic) an the voltage regulator I found for sale is to fit model number (LN Type No) A0013002AD (see pic). These two numbers are very close, but not an exact match. Thoughts anyone??
I haven't yet had to work with the wiring, so I don't have the exposure with the numbering system. I think it is an amazing system especially since the wires are tagged at both ends. It seems that it would be easy to know which wire your dealing with, what it does, where it goes, and NO METER...
I suppose I don't really need it. I was really considering my CUCV situation. All of the lights on my M1008 and M1009 run thought a single 30 Amp fuse, which will occasionally blow, primarily due to the amperage draw on the headlights. The solution to removing the primary demand on that fuse...
I saw these and I agree, it would be much more efficient but that would negate the opportunity for relays, fuse terminals, etc. I suppose I could splice into the wires to add those things if I really needed them.
Howdy all.... I was wondering if any of you deuce owners considered changing your existing black and numbered wires with colored wires. Many of my wires are frayed and broken and I thought I might slowly replace my old wires with new, colored wires. Since I have both an M1008 and an M1009, I...
I figured that was the responsibility of the valve. Once I cleaned it up and pushed some air through it, it started working again. I ordered one from Big Mikes anyway and will replace the old one when it gets here.
Thank you for this info and link. I didn't think to check Big Mikes. I will order this part when I order the remote brake fluid reservoir. I was able to get my air tanks cleaned and painted. They are ready to be reinstalled, however I am going to replace the copper airlines with nylon (past...
I have been working on the air system reservoirs and have removed the tanks from my deuce. I noticed this part (see the pic below) on the tank closest to the DS truck frame. The -20P manual (figure 127A) shows this as a Valve, PN 10922157. I researched the part number and determined that this...
I believe the working pressure for a deuce is 120 PSI. The advertisement states the nylon lines are rated at 220 PSI. I think this should be within the pressure window. Your thoughts?
Due to multiple failures in my copper air lines, I have been thinking about replacing copper with plastic (nylon?). Will the existing air line nuts work with a plastic or nylon air line (see pic below)? I see that with the copper, you only need the ferrule that slides over the line. I think...
This is GENIUS! I never used (or built) a pressure bleeder before, so I see my work is cut out for me. Can you point to the TM that has the directions for bleeding the brake system? From what everybody says, you have to bleed the airpack first, then onto the wheel cylinders.... Your thoughts???
Where did your source your remote reservoir kit? I want to add one to my truck, but I am not sure which one to get. There are hundreds on the net, and I suppose they all work the same so I guess it is a matter of preference. What do you recommend? As for a pressure bleeder, I have never...
My deuce seems to have a single system, as I have only one set of air tanks and only one air-hydraulic booster. I finally found the SMI 9-2320-209-14&P manual. As I was reading it, I noticed that it is missing page 1-2. I have found this manual in other places and they too are missing page...
Big shout out to Gary Dunn.... Gary moved my deuce from Porum, OK to my home in Grove, OK. He is SUPER NICE guy who is professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. He quickly got the truck onto his trailer, moved it, and unloaded it at my home.
My son and I met Gary in Porum a...
TM 9-2320-209-34P, Group 03 - Fuel System. I was able to find the part numbers for the original components, but they don't cross to civilian parts. For example: Fuel Filters - NSN 2910-01-120-2182, Mfg # 11610298 will show up on a google search, but I cannot determine a way to cross reference...
