The M809 series air cleaner assembly could be adapted to fit a M39 series it would not be that difficult to do !! As for your photo that is a M39 series air cleaner assembly. as for your filter element i bet you can be cleaner if you find a local filter cleaner that cleans air filters.

the M393 Series all use the wedge style air brakes on them the older m35 and M809 trucks are air over Hydraulic .. Also with the M939 series truck you will have to get a CDL with air brake endorsement.

I would not consider pulling a M923 with the lighter M931 it could lead to BIG problems if you do not hook up the air lines from truck to truck . Any Commeridal diesel Engine will fit, because the Bell housings are SAE standard and will bolt up to the trans !! Along with the bell housings the transmissions in commerical are SAE standard and you can also swap the trans as Well !!
