FLU419 SEE San Antonio mechanic mentioned in thread & throttle issue

Good luck in the mechanic search. In most cases you are paying a mechanic to learn about Unimogs. Regarding your throttle, it seems pretty conclusive that you have shown it achieves higher RPM with the hand throttle than the Foot throttle. So look at the linkage that is different between those...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Oils are not incompatible, additives are. As hydraulic oils are loaded with additives, I wouldn’t mix engine and hydraulic oil. If recapped in 2006, it is more than due for a fluid change. Military fluids were chosen for logistics, not lifespan.

FLU-419 fuel question - part above filter housing

I think the switches that are not working for you may be on an accessory fuse which also runs the cooling fans. If the fans rust up, the fuse blows. Check the student references for the electrical diagram for the back.

“Horse graves” Note to self, don’t get on FF’s bad side.

Using my SEE for real work

Finally got around to assembling the gantry crane. I could not lift the assembled parts with the loader, so I had to use the backhoe as a crane. I also moved an Ash log that was all the loader could handle. It is now 2.5” live edge slabs.

FLU-419 fuel question - part above filter housing

Oh? Are you aware of a single issue traced back to the diagnostic wiring? I agree it is cluttered, but the pin out is available and it makes a handy test point with a multimeter. Not that I have used it as such. {edit, not trying to be sarcastic or poke FluFarm any more than I usually do. Just...

    Title Regis. in Texas

You need to be working with the seller you bought from. Titles and SF-97’s come from seller. They aren’t created by the TxDOT. If purchased from GovPlanet, you have to request the SF-97.

I learned not to use that drill on a concrete block wall. Tried to drill a 1 inch hole. The exit wound on the inside of the wall was 6 inches.

There was someone on here that got the mount to place an auger on the backhoe in place of the bucket. They bought the adapter for a CASE 580, then rented a skid steer auger. Unbolted from the skid steer mount, bolted to the adapter for use, then returned when done. Potentially the same could be...

My unimog 419 Will not go into pto gear

Well, I would say a transmission full of water is a key clue you omitted.

My unimog 419 Will not go into pto gear

Are you in Georgia? There was a unit being sold down there that was in rough shape and had some mechanical issues. I hope you got a good price if it wasn’t shown as running. No specific gear is required. Clutch needs to be depressed.

My unimog 419 Will not go into pto gear

The PTO is a very simple operation, sliding a collar over to lock in the PTO. I assume you have the clutch in? No bad noises? I’ll try to look at my spare PTO to see if the is a rod that could get rusted.

Door removal / hinge pins FLU419

I had thought, based upon the Unimog I parted out, that the door could lift up and off like a jeep. I took a second look at mine and was not able to get it to remove. I did manage to drop one of the three nuts holding the spring on into my cab frame. So there is that. All of my pins are pressed...

Dipper cylinder rod mystery , will not fold up 1.5"-4" short of latch. How to find what Length it should be?

I confirmed the 35C and M35C use the same gland in my last line. I could not confirm all the differences between the 35C and the M35C. Known differences are the dipper cylinder(longer), the dipper arm(relieved for more angle), the backhoe mounting frame(hitch added, maybe narrower), and the...

Dipper cylinder rod mystery , will not fold up 1.5"-4" short of latch. How to find what Length it should be?

Here is where the 35C is in the catalog: I have photos of the prototypes from the 1980's and can confirm that they modified the dipper arm itself to swing tighter(It has paint burnt off so we know it was cut and welded on.) I don't know if they changed anything on the hydraulic cylinder, but...

Are you always this cheery, or did we catch you on a good day?

    CASE M35C valve sections

The M35C is still in the system available to dealers. I refer to it all the time. Also, be aware our backhoe seems to have more in common with the 580E based upon the dates, but a lot of parts are common. The military manuals should be the first reference. They list Case numbers.

Dipper cylinder rod mystery , will not fold up 1.5"-4" short of latch. How to find what Length it should be?

I checked against the CNH prints, and “CENTER OF HOLE TO END OF SHAFT 43-11/16 INCHES” checks out for G109187. They are 43.5 +/- a little bit. I’ll try to check the other rod prints on my break.

Dipper cylinder rod mystery , will not fold up 1.5"-4" short of latch. How to find what Length it should be?

When I am back at work, I can look up the prints. I can tell you, from the prototype photos I have seen, the dipper arms were modified from the backhoe version to fold tighter, but I didn’t think the cylinders were different. But have you stored the backhoe before the cylinder work? It is an...
