    Wierd turn signal/running lamp question

Try checking the ground path. You probably have some corrosion interfering with the return path of these lights. Try a jumper wire for a temporary check.

M1008 lose of speed, have replaced fuel filter, glow plugs

Many auto repair chain stores have kits to rebuild the TH-400. The basic overhaul would include friction plates, Steel plates, rubber piston seals, and several iron sealing rings used on the various shafts. The modulator would be separate due to the variations used with different engines. The...

    M1008 tranny troubleshooting help needed

One of the clutch packs in the TH400 is engaged in both High gear and Reverse, so I wouldn't be surprised if you needed an overhaul. Clean, unburned fluid usually is a good sign, but sometimes it just means that someone changed the oil to try to solve a major problem - unsuccessfully.

    Strange power loss

They're heavy and slippery suckers. I would have someone with a lift and tranny jack do the swap.

    Strange power loss

If you need to remove fluid via the dipstick, a boat mechanic will have the pump setup you need. I think I would just drop the pan though to check for debris or contamination if I didn't know how it got overfull. (Might have water in it)

Seems to me that 3.08 is pretty tall for an OD. What is the standard gear from the 86 Jimmy 6.2?

Pic's of leaking return fuel line

RE: Pic Each injector should have a hard line from the injector pump and two rubber hoses. The rearmost injector on each bank will have one hose and a rubber cap. From the picture it appears as if you have one or more of the rubber return lines missing.

What does CTIS offer that you can't do "by hand"?

RE: What does CTIS offer that you can When there is the potential for sniper fire, being able to adjust pressure "on the fly" is a huge advantage..

When do lockers outperform tire chains?

When one wheel is not in contact with the ground, a locker is the only way to go.

    M1008 as a DD?

I understand that when you raise then gearing, either thru larger tires, or a ring & pinion change, the drive shaft rpms drop but the lower rpms allow the torque converter to slip a bit more, negating the hoped for fuel mileage gains. To get the best result would be to use a transmission with a...
