Any members own a wood gas powered mv?

I don't have one... YET! I have the plans for one here somewhere... always wanted to try it out, and see how well it works. I have often thought it would be good for a worst case scenario running a generator.

MEP use in home PV system for topping up batteries

The turbine drinks almost the same at no load as it does at full load, but yes, unless you have a huge battery bank, they would probably boil off (best case), or explode (worst case) the batteries. I have mine setup with a pretty big load bank (40 gallon Water heater with 24 volt heating...

MEP use in home PV system for topping up batteries

I had thought about the turbine too, but man do they suck down some fuel! Think about that before you go the route. I think the one I was looking at drank like 8.5 gallons an hour, if memory serves.

MEP use in home PV system for topping up batteries

On GL, I got a 28v 4.2 KW gasoline genset. It had 7 hours on it. The only thing I had to do was add oil and fuel to start it. I did take off the valve covers and prelube it, as I had no idea how long it had been sitting before I got the unit. IT started on the second pull. It is now charging a...

    m200a1 dolly

You really don't want it to go behind the axle, that would cause the trailer to flip up the front of the dolly. Might want to put some sort of stop to keep it from going back behind the axle.

    m200a1 dolly

I wouldn't go very far, you want as much weight as possible on that axle. Maybe 3 inches.

    Filling M105 master cylinder

    MEP-002A acquisition

John, be careful of using full synthetic on an engine that is already broken in, the seals and such will actually shrink after switching from regular to synthetic. I found out after running full sythetic in my truck. It took a while to figure out why I had all the leaks suddenly, after switching...

    12V Computer speakers in CUCV?

At this point it may be the easiest way to do it. Keep in mind the cheap ac inverters are all modified sign wave, but it probably wont make a whole lot of difference with what you are doing. Home depot probably has a cheap one for like $20

    12V Computer speakers in CUCV?

You really should try to regulate the power to 12 volts before you hook this up. There are plenty of places you can get a regulator for 12 volts, check out any of the car pc type sites. I would ahte to see you fry a good pair of speakers for no reason.
