I have been using the braided cup wheels from HF and / or the metal abrasive disks on a 4 inch sander to knock the paint off of my truck. These might be an option.

Well, I got the compressor swapped out. It seems that I'm to fault for the failure. A poorly made gasket blocked the oil passage. Live and learn. While I had to remove the oil filter to swap the compressor so I decided to instal the spin on oil filter kit from Jatonka while I had her apart.

I just replaced mine...I made a gasket from sheet material...as for the bushing, I cut it out with a chisel. Its only bras and deformed and come out easy. I decided not to chance putting a tourch to the housing.
The TM is 2320-209-34-2-1. It takes about 3 quarts of fluid. There is a thread for flipping the hubs. NAPA has the rebuild kit. I would not reuse the fluid already in the system.
