The shims come with the thick part towards the front since the flexible link is on the rear of the leaf spring it makes the axle sit flat or with approx. 0 degrees caster. If you flip it totally around, it will have about 7 degrees caster. If you have a good power steering this would probably be...
Those shims have about 3 1/2 degrees wedge to them. They are set up to have about 0 degrees total caster. If you flip the wedges around, you will have about 7 degrees total caster. You better have some pretty good power steering or you won't be able to turn the wheel when it is moving. I just...
I built stands out of 4x4's. Just cut to length, cut a couple of 2x4's to make an 'x' on the bottom and one for a diag. brace. Screw them together. I also screwed a small 2x4 vertically at the top to screw it to the frame wherever I put it. Make a bunch of them to do the lift on my Deuce. A lot...
couple of questions, does the hydraulic pump from a 5 ton bolt onto a Deuce multi-fuel? if so, what is the output compared to a normal saginaw automotive pump? I'm asking because on my Deuce I have full hydro steering but I fabricated a mount for a saginaw pump that runs off of the compressor...
My guess on the HHC 6 is that someone just painted it on there after is was sold as surplus. 6 is for the commander's vehicle and I don't know to many commanders that rode around in a Deuce. I could be wrong though. (it has happened before... once)
I agree devilman, mine does about 70mph or so on flat ground. Any uphill and it looses power. I'm sure that if I turned it up ???? who knows. Although at 70 it makes you wonder what if?
Yeah, probably not the best in the mud, but they ride nice on the road. I've only been stuck once so far and that was at the Fl. Rally. The other places that I've taken it has been fine. I think that the rear locker helps alot! I'm thinking about putting a front one in also. Got a few on the...
Yeah, I thought about adding a winch. I'm not sure if I am going to or not though. Don't know if it is worth the $1000 to get everything to put it together. I don't have the PTO or anything on mine.
I did have it down at the Fl Rally last weekend and got it pretty stuck in the swamp. Devilman got his Deuce stuck, I pulled him out, (had to snatch the living s**t out of him to get it out) then I proceded to drive right into the hole that he came out of to see if I could make it through. No...
My 2 cents, cut the frame in front of the rear pintle side braces and put back together with bracing. I don't know how much to cut out if you are using a m105 bed, but if you use a Deuce bed and take out 1 section of bed it is exactly 3 ft. Use a set of front Deuce springs and drill and mount to...
My blinkers haven't worked since I purchased the truck a couple of months ago.(before choping it up) Is the general concensus that I should replace the flasher unit first?
I didn't get to sample the cooking, but the people and atmosphere were perfect! Thanks to everyone that put all of the hours in to get this rally together. I know Mike put some serious time and money into everything and his father loaned us his property to dig up a little. Count me in for next...
Speaking of Dyna beads, I found a place that has the same thing that dyna beads sells for a LOT less. I put 2 1/2 lbs in each tire for about $40 total and they ride great (53's) It is a blasting media that is 100% synthetic ceramic and is perfectly round and about the size of sugar sand. It goes...
Yes, he is in business and will probably chime in here soon. I'm sure that he had a lot to do to catch up after putting on the Fl rally event. Please be patient with him, he worked really hard and put in a lot of time and money to throw a excellent event for members and is a great guy. He also...
