Here's some pics of member Mike Pop's Unimog radio box mounted on an M105 trailer frame, I always liked this setup.
Here's my homemade roof rack. Cost about $120 in materials, half of that being expanded metal for the flooring. Measures 5X7 so I can set up my tent on top when in bear country. The fiberglass roof is surprisingly strong. I used 6 mounting spots evenly spaced next to the boxed section of the...
Got most my junk loaded up. Dug, I'll bring the only towbar foot I have left. Hopefully I will be hitting the road by 330 tomorrow. As a side note I too have had great dealings with Eriks military surplus. Top notch service!
I forgot about the 8 metal bows I have in the backyard, 4 corners and 2 uprights, all in good shape. Anybody need them? Will trade for beer, ammo (most any type), cigars or U.S. currency. Phil I will bring out those extra duece hubs I have if you still want them.
I have about 35 gallons of brand new chevron ATF in a 50 gallon steel drum. Anyone want it to burn in their duece? I was running it in my truck before I sold it. Comes with a hand pump and hose, all for free! Let me know and I will bring it out as I'm tired of looking at it.
I'm about 95% in for sure. Its the weekend of me and the wifes anniversary and she's being very understanding about me going. Probably going to bring my 2 older kids again, my wifes not a fan of stoddard wells:(. I would be coming out Friday afternoon.
I added a factory suburban center console from pick your part for $20, some adjustable seat reclining hinges from a newer small blazer that bolted right in place of the fixed hinges. Arm rests for the back seat, stock cigarette lighter, stereo with XM radio. Still to do is a carpet kit after I...
Lock both hubs, leave transfer case in 2wd, spin the front driveshaft by hand and have a helper see if one of the axle shafts is spinning. If one is spinning, take that hub off and see if there are any broken parts inside. Its possible its just not engaging due to dried up grease and just needs...
Lay on your back and look under the dash up high behind where the headlight switch is. You'll see a shiny metal prong with about 8 1/4" metal tabs. Use that for your ground, spade connectors fit nice and snug onto it and its meant for electrical grounds. I have 2 cucv's that have stereo's and...
I had an intermittent headlight problem with mine and after cycling the high/low beam switch a few times it fixed it. Dont know if a little corrosion had built up on the terminals but everything is working fine now.
