ok the red circles in firs tpic are broken studs they are supposed to be attached to the base of the crank handle like i circled in second pic. the wingnut looking thingy in fiorst pic should slide into the clutch thincy in the handle both circled in green.
to gain access to the broken studds...
Nova Scotia here, just got my cucv m1009 to tinker on * which is getting kinda extensive in tinkering* i will be looking at aquiring a couple of dueces, a 5ton wrecker, and hopefully some armour either tracked or wheeled. wouldnt mind getting a hemtt at some point.

ok now i blew my heater fuse again melted, and the gen 1 light stays on when the heater switch is on even with the fuse melted, also i now have to get the engine reved up all the way to engage the gen 1. help please
well check your air supply, fuel metering screw inside IP, i would also look at your timing and do a presure test on the coolant system, whitish smoke is often a symptom of blown head gaskets. besides here, coloradok5.com theres also, www.thedieselplace.com under the forum heading 6.2l diesel...

alsi IIRC the alt's in these truck are supposed to be isolated ground alt's and there have been some issues with parts stores and dealers giveing non isolated ground alt's to cucv owners.
