The headlights are attached to a plate. This plate is attached to the truck by 6 studs that attach by nuts to the front of this plate and on the rear to the support. The center of these studs are rubber to cushion the headlights from vibration (I suppose). The rubber has sheared off on all of...
Did the same just yesterday, while I was there I bought hearing protectors for any passenger I might have and painted them green too (can't have my rider sporting red protectors).
And while I'm in this thread........I installed a "C" turbo today. I have read where some say they are just to...
I bought my deuce from Murray last month and as little problems reared their ugly heads "they" sent me parts w/o cost. It wasn't a lot of items but a new tranny lid, oil pressure gauge & sending unit among a few other things ain't to shabby. Now, having said that the last text I sent went...
I had the same problem in my deuce. Got a new sending unit and gauge only to find out the wire connection at the sending unit was loose, once I plugged it in tight it was fine..........if only you can be so lucky.
Thanks Rustystud, I'm going to order one and go ahead and install it. Doesn't appear to have that pesky "blow hole" in it so once I figure out the electrical problem my air leak problem should be good.
I have been researching air pressure threads for various reasons and have noticed wide differences in pressures people have their govenor set at, anywhere between 80-120 psi. Is it personal preference or is that just the way you bought it and never had any reason to change it or like me...
I didn't even know there was a modern switch. No matter, my mind was made up for me when I replaced the light switch due to a parking light failure and when I was done the low pressure light wasn't working so I plugged the air line.......no more leak, holds pressure longer and pump "works" less...
Seeing as this air leak from the low pressure warning switch has everyone stumped I've just started throwing money at it. First you remember I took it apart and cleaned it (thank you Crestonian), when that didn't work I installed a new one, that also didn't stop it. I then disassembled the...
Thanks Rustystud, I did that the same day and did find a few leaks, most were loose connections. I'll be the first to tell you I'm new to how all this pressure stuff works but learning, still at a loss about the leaky switch (I keep calling it a "leaky" switch but the small open port would lead...
I installed a new switch yesterday, it even leaks at around 90psi but for the first time I still had 40-50 psi after sitting overnight. Today I adjusted the regulator to halfway between 90 and 120psi (it's always been near 120). Watching the gauge now I can hear the regulator cut in around 85ish...
Thank you Crestonean!
I pulled it off cleaned it up and....... it still leaks a little so I may just try to find one. Does anybody know what it's called, how to look it up? While looking over different suppliers the last week I've been keeping an eye open for them but never saw one, if I knew...
This is the offending part.
It is just right of the steering column. The offending hole is high to the right. The top wire runs over the steering column to I don't know where. The bottom line runs to the low pressure warning light.........
And the large supply line runs to.........
This...
I have been searching for the last hour and I know it's been asked a dozen times but it seems there has been no "final" answer (or more likely I missed it). All I found in the TM's were exploded views but nothing about how all this is supposed to work.
First I guess I should say this is a 65...
I found the leak in the washer lines and fixed it, works great.......except for the small leak in the bottle turned out to be 3 and of course I didn't realize it until I glued one waited two hours.........and then the other, waited two hours..............
