Thanks guys, was just wondering what it would look like. I've kinda gotten the picture from other vehicles, but wanted to see if anyone had ever seen one. I know the desert trucks were tan, was just wondering if anyone had ever done one in desert camo. Hhmm.........
Anyone ever seen a CUCV in Desert Camo?
My daughter is leaning on me pretty hard about painting up my new M1009 in a desert scheme. The tan trucks just don't do it for me although I could probably learn to like them. I was thinking that desert camo (sort of like the cranetruck) might be sort of...
All the same items you'd check for a smaller truck that has been sitting that long. (Making sure the brakes release, ect.) Which way are you going to get it? If ur heading south the 200, PM me and I'll send my cell # to you as a "just in case" sort of thing.
Re: RE: Two small projects completed
I also like the front pintle idea. I think that will be just the ticket for backing my 105 into the back yard when the cargo cover or shelter are on the duece! Without the covers I'm good at backing that shortie into the yard, but I have a tough time when I...
 I'm afraid to wash mine, not sure what would happen!
Your truck looks good though! No matter what color you decide to paint them, keep 'em rolling! 8)
My kids and I had a great time as well. Thanks to Houdel for pointing out where to grab the sandwiches! Next year I need to remember to pack a cooler! Met some cool people, and saw some nice rigs. I was a little worried my truck would be the only one actually used ... but at least half...
Here's one......kinda more tan/green......or an olive green......
that's still the color of the truck inside......too much work for me to paint the inside........i still work my truck....she's no beauty queen......
i did paint the outside three color camo however that I bought from Rapco...
Two answers to that.......
a) you have a minor leak somewhere....and....
b) that's pretty normal!
Seriously, most of the dueces still out there will bleed down enough if left for a few days to set off the buzzer on start-up,
It's usually a combo of multiple small leaks.....not a big...
My whole M35 was krylon OD green when I purchased it. I left it that way for awhile, but the 383 green is much 'greener'
I'll see if I can find one of my pictures with it entirely in the krylon....give you an idea of what color it is. :D
How many of you have shelters for the back of your duece? Any pics? How do you go about loading or un-loading the shelter? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Re: RE: New style light switch issue?
I love my push button switch. I've made all the 'errors' when operating it and never a hitch. /knock on wood/ I'm just not smart enough to operate the three lever switch!
Not telling you what to do, but I have found that I do drain those tanks pretty regular since that quick-bleed deal was installed. Not a big deal to reach in there just before shut-down and pull those wires to drain the tanks.....i get a decent amount of water after a days use every time.
The idea is so the trailer can sort of "pull-it's-own weight" when in a slippery situation. Of course, in this case, it's more of a "because I can" sort of thing. rofl
Sorry about the hack-job the site had to endure...at least we were backed up to Saturday! Thanks for keeping the site going guys/girls! I'm grateful! :D
Congrats! Another hunk-o-green not too far from me! Give it it's acceptance inspection and get ready to roll north for the weekend in Sept.! Anyways, lets see some pics!
