Alright!! We love pictures!! Looks like a nice rig!! Hopefully once you burned the old fuel out of it, it didn't smoke quite so much!! :)

    finally

Congrats!! Can't wait to see the pictures! Most common problem is getting them re-sized....let's see the pictures when you get a chance!!

Wierd question for those with the newer style light switch..

...you ever shut your rig off entirely and have your push button style light switch start rapid blinking the orange color on all the buttons? I know, I know...those switches are junk and everyone should use the three lever switch...but has anyone ever seen this happen? It happened to me last...

Alfa Heaven just put up a Sweet M1009

Their trucks ALWAYS look very nice. Never have had a chance to see them in person, but they sure look good on the site! (the "fresh from Europe" bit sounds kinda cheesy, but whatever) Haven't I seen a few board members purchase from there recently? :?:

    CUCV'S WANTED!!!

You won't find a nicer M1009 than Armadas, it looks like the day it rolled off the assembly line. Absolutely beautiful inside and out! [thumbzup]

    Thunder over Michigan Disappointment

Re: RE: some pics from the show.. Those poor guys, they just went through all the blasting from all the re-enactors about two months ago. Hopefully no damage was done, we don't need any more roadblocks for next year.

Love the glacier pics, thanks for the pictures! I used to love it when I was stationed there. :D

    Thunder over Michigan Disappointment

I've followed this debate rather closely, I think you have The Blue Angels to blame for being "booted" off the airport.

    Your truck gotta name??

:D We went with "Ole' Glory" for the deuce, still no name for the M1009. :D

    horn stuck in traffic

 That happened to me the other night, although my horn button just stuck down. (I think because it was very cold out?) Went to honk goodbye to my guy that opened my gate here @ the store for me, horn button stuck down. Stopped out by a major road in front of the store, pushing the horn...

    Tech tip of the day

2- 5 to 8 seconds or so is usually sufficient. Once it stops spraying water, I stop draining. 3- I think the auto-drain would be kinda silly and I probably wouldn't want that installed with me depending on that system for my braking. I have the cable-type drains on mine so I can drain...

    Tech tip of the day

 I like the tech tips! Reminds me of the things I learned as I first started crawling over my "new-to-me" deuce!!

    deep water fording kits

I'd be in for one as well. If this were to come together with some kind of reasonable price, I'm for sure in for one!! [thumbzup]

    Canvas Cargo cover

End covers go over the outsides....think water running down the front of the cover....will it go inside the cargo area or run harmlessly off the cover? Oh yeah, the openings in the end covers should be operated fromm the outside...again, or else rain, snow will be allowed to run into the...

    ANYONE know what this is?

Re: RE: Re: RE: ANY know what this is? Aye, I've got one under the front seat in mine. As mentioned above, I've got kids and the sometimes envision themselves driving my "Old Glory" around. The battery switch helps me rest easy when they're up in the cab and pretending to drive. They don't...

    fun things in the deuce

Yeah, I owe M-Dot one of their orange barrels. A highway near me was under construction last spring and was necked down to one lane with barrels. It was pouring one night heading home and the wind blew one of them in front of me. Too close to try and hit the brakes...I did let off the...

    Hi! New owner...I'm in love...

Welcome to the site Amy, there are quite a few CUCV owners relatively close that are resident experts on M1009s! (Ida is practically next door) And yes, several of us take our rigs out regularly to play in the mud! :driver: That'll make a great winter vehicle!

Where's your MV in the Motor Pool?

Hhmm...my motor pool entry has vanished!! Maybe that's why there are so few, maybe others have disappeared like mine must have! I'll have to try again!! :?
