What 95% are you talking about as being gone?
I mean, are you 95% certain GL wont be coming back to advertise or 95% certain that any and all ads are up in the air and may be gone soon?
Can you please be a little more specific because now Im under the impression that SS is losing 95% of its...
I like the ideas from above also.
I also think we should try and contact the folks we have added in the (Resource/Link) tab.
Another thing to look at is maybe, and this is a big maybe but worth a try anyways.
Since this is a Military site then why dont we try getting the 5 Military services...
Glad you got 1 reply!
The dash is in by 10 screws and Im talking a M1008 so not much differance in a M1009 BLAZER.
Their are screws beside the driver door which I will call side of the truck.
You need to remove those screws also.
As for the front under the windshield its 4 little slide in things...
Any Trucker supply store or tractor store.
Some carry and some dont so its 50/50 on who is in your area or close to you.
That would be the first places that I would look at first.
You might have luck by going to a Truck Stop since most Truck Stops now carry everything that a trucker might need...
I do think that duck tape would have worked better and longer too.
Hell, duck tape worked for Apollo 13 and got them home.
JB weld made buy a vehicle not knowing their was a starter problem till about 2 months later.
At least the starter was ready for the hurricane force winds.
You can get one anywhere from $150, the starting bid up to what I have seen so far $3600.
The only major complaint I have seen by reading the posts here are poor driving GL workers at certain locations not knowing how to drive a fork-lift and damage the drive-shaft.
Some may not come with...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Power Service Additives
I think what we need here now is to start a new thread about all of the diesel additives mentioned in this post and have a poll on which is the best.
I would start it but I have never used the poll option before so I am not rally sure how to set it up...
RE: Invoice ready
Im drooling over your M109A3.
I sent out my first of three EUC which GL received on 9/25 and then sent to Battle Creek on October 10th.
Still waiting for mine to get thru.
STE/ICE in Texas (5) that have to be shipped, M105A2 trailer (1) and a 6.2L diesel engine (1) and here I...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: I got pulled over in my Deuce
I was wondering also from the above post, its not illegal in NC to not have tags on a privately owned military vehicle or its not against the law in NC to have the words MP on a privately owned military vehicle.
Yes, I am a Durmite from NC...
Could be worse.
When I bought my M1008 the previouse owner must have had the same problem and made a temp fix to it before selling the CUCV to the next buyer who was me.
The starter was making the same noise on me and I took the started off just to find out that he tried to JB WELD the nose...
Someone here said it best (If its not broken then dont fix it).
Id be too afraid of messing with it since it does tap into everything else one way or another.
Id just take the suggestion and hide it behind the dash.
This way, if you ever plan on selling it at least its their for the next buyer...
RE: Re: I got pulled over in my Deuce
Kinda sounds like me when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton driving to El-Toro Air Station when it was still a active duty Marine Air Station.
I was driving towards El-Toro in our Military Chevy Cargo Van transporting Communication equipment and tents...
Their was a post within the past 2 weeks asking the same thing about where to plug into 12volts so that they could add a radio or cb.
Forgot the name of the post but someone posted a picture of the fuse block showing where the 12volt plug in was and where the 24volt plug in was on the fuse...
You said (hard to start in the mornings)! This tells me it sits all nights or its cold in the morning when trying to start.
Try testing your cold advance system..
Sounds like a good idea and hopefully that will find the leak.
As for gaskets seals being on the side vent, they do have seals but I dont think the seals are your problem.
Do you notice water on your floor after a rain when not driving or you see it when you are driving?
I beleive you have a...
Look, most of us bid on the blind side.
Meaning, if the GL reads (RUNS) we know the engine is running with a jump if needed.
Need to take a chance and have a buddy go with you in case of a tow back home.
The CUCVs are not going to be on GL for too much longer so if you can get one that says...
For a M35A3 or anything bigger I have never seen a roll bar.
I have seen a few M998s but those are assigned to Batalion s' whoes job is Recon and thier mission.
I never seen one in any mil-vehicle for except for recon purposes but those are totally (differant vehicles) made for the purpose of...
