Here are some pics. They are from GovPlent as I'm still waiting on the EUC to clear.
Can't to play with the crane.
Anyone else have one that can give me any tips or known issues to look out for?
I called Ft. Drum today. They told me that they were able to start my HEMTT by jumping at the starter. He said it runs and drives fine.
I was expecting to have to do a little work to get it running. That was a pleasant surprise.
Lets just hope he had the right one :)
I posted a pic in the Auction wins 4/15 thread. I'll try to post some later.
It requites an EUC so it may be awhile before I am able to get it. I was going to try and call to see if they will let me go up and try to get it running in the meantime. I doubt it but its worth a shot.
Anyone know if they will assist in loading? Its says in the auction that the truck could not be started. Will they let me try and get it running?
I really wasn't expecting to win it. Never expected it to go so cheap.
As long as there is no major issues with the engine/drivetrain I think I did...
Are you referring to the needle greaser that can pierce CV boots? If so where do you put the grease? In each bearing cap?
There is a grease fitting there. I don't see why they would make it so hard to get at.
Something like this maybe?
I was going over my 931 today. Checking all of the fluids and greasing everything. The front spring shackles didn't want to take any grease. Either they are rusted bad or maybe the fittings are bad.
Then I tried greasing the short shaft between the trans and the transfer case. I can't see how I...
I should have updated this earlier. I have the 2 batteries up and running. It was a piece of cake. It only took about 5 minutes to connect everything. It took a little longer figuring out how make a hold down for them.
I'm still hopeful I can rejuvenate the 4 new batteries that were in there...
Anyone ever done it? I've seen many threads about bobbing or adding a cargo bed and such but I can find anything converting to a dump?
I was wondering what kind/size dump body. What you used for hydraulics? Electric or PTO?? Ballpark cost for the parts?
I was originally planning on keeping...
The soft top on my M931 not attached to the plastic channel. It looks like all of the stitching let loose. At first I though it just wasn't in the channel but on further inspection I could see the stitching was all ripped. Otherwise the top looks to be in excellent condition.
Is it worth...
What size batteries are people using in a 2 battery system? Someone already mentioned 8D but they are heavy.
I found 4D's at the local TSC but they look as big as the 8D's.
Anyone using smaller batteries successfully?
How are you able to drive them? Are you able to get them registered without a title in your state? Or are you just chancing it?
Good luck on your recovery.
So, after getting enough juice in the batteries it started on ether but wouldn't stay running. Tried priming it but after probably 100 attempts all I got was air. Then I dropped the fuel filter canister to find what looked like a new filter and it was filled with nice clean fuel. After jerking...
