Looked on line and found some nice hubs but need to know if they are 30 or 35 spline.....anyone know which is on an m1008? Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!
I recently bought an m1008 and when I went to put it in 4x4 I get nothing. The lock on the driver side hub turns but has no stopping point, can turn it all day long. The one on the other side locks in the "lock" position but when I put it in 4 high or 4 low neither front wheel will turn. I...
I recently purchased an m1008. I am going throught the truck and trying to fix it up a bit. I noticed that there were some marks on the firewall where there probably used to be something. I researched a bit and learned that there should be a 24-12v relay there. Mine is missing. The previous...
Is that normal?
Is it normal for that shaft to be pressed hard agains the case of the motor? I can't budge it by hand and it was like that before I ever even turned the crank.
OK, so I recently bought an M1008. It ran poorly and had several issues. One problem it had was is you goosed the throttle or were driving it and let off the gas the engine would die. It idle fine and sounded pretty good to me. I have had a deuce for 5 yrs and have done a lot of work on it...
The studs should be in later this week. Ordered them from Saturn. Unfortunitely I can't make the event. I would have really loved to get down there.:-(
Thanks gimpyrobb for making me feel like less of a man!:grin: Three inches could be right but it seemed like I had more..................because I had to jack it up more like six after taking the originals off in order to get the hub to be high enough to get the rim opening to line up...
You could be right. Until I get the lugs fixedI cant really play with the thing too much to see what works best. I will try both high and low pres. and report back. No tubes required.
Finally got my tires and wheels on! But of course it was not without a hitch.....two of the studs on the front right wheel stripped out on me. :x So now I have to wait for parts before I can drive her. I would drive it with just one lug nut off but two.........not worth it. Well, I did drive it...
My front tires are completely bald but the rears are at almost 70%. I was originaly gonna replace the fronts and wait for the rears to wear out but it was taking too long! Now I am thinking the next thing is to get the front locking hubs to save a little wear on the new meats.
I have...
Thanks Recovery4x4, glad to hear that I don't need the tubes. Now I just have to make sure I remember to have two of the tires mounted in the opposite direction!
I finally got my wheels from O.D. Iron!:-D First I have to give props to Mike at O.D. Iron, the wheels are great! It took a few months to get them but I am very happy with the quality. Now I am waiting for the 15.5 tires to get here that I also ordered from Mike. I just have a question about...
Just to add my two cents......I had found a good deal on fleabay about two years ago on a brand new airpack so I bought it for spare parts in case the one on the truck ever went. Even though there was nothing wrong with the one on the truck, I recently swapped em out. I thought I would switch...
