    Air cleaner not fitting right

Gap shown in your pic. would certainly make it sound a lot louder. Plus you could be sucking flys, bees etc into your intake ports if the filter don't fit firmly to top lid. It should not be too much of a task to take breather assy off and just look at it. See if it's warped and if so, just...

Deathwobble fixed and back again, help!

How can you use different size tires (rims) on front and back and not have a problem when you put it in 4WD. ??? Front and back should be same size. This won't affect the death wobble but will give your drive train _____ especially if on aspalt road.

    front wheel free travel

Since you have the M1028 which should have the "trac-lok" in front, when you lock the hubs you will have resistance in the spinning of the tire. However there will not be any scrubbing noise because the resistance is coming from the "clutch-pac" slipping against one another. It will not spin...

    cucv glow plug card

All the cucv veh I know off has 12V glow plugs and NOT 24V. The 24V plugs are used in the humvee trucks whether they had the 6.2 or 6.5 diesels. You can use one of the humvee engines in your cucvs but you have to exchange the glow plugs to the 12V type and also change the solonoid in the inj...

G.I. Robo tool set.... what to offer?

I mean't to add this suggestion when you use yours, since you have the 1/2" drive be sure to use 1/2" "impact" sockets and try to stay away from extensions & adaptors as they seem to loosen tight nuts easier. The slight play takes away from the torque. Also I suggest you get some PB Blaster or...

G.I. Robo tool set.... what to offer?

What kind of adaptor do you need? The slave plug on the end of the 20 ft cord just hand pushes onto the male plug on your deuce. I have both the 1/2" & 3/4" drive robos. The 3/4" is a little stronger & I guess suited more for 2-1/2 & up.

    A couple or 3 questions

After reading your post again, you seem to had 3 problems: 1) Loose driver side alt. which you fixed 2) Belt squealing sound 3) Hard to start 2) Since you replaced & the belt & tightened up the alt., that side should be fixed as long as when you were tightening that belt, you did not put too...

    A couple or 3 questions

Could one of your belts be worn so thin that it is "bottoming out" in the pulley groove? It can wear so narrow that sides won't seat out & thus start slipping. Also when you start to tighten the p/s belt and then tighten the other driver side alt. you may loosen up a little the p/s belt. There...

    Front wheel hop while braking?

The M1028 has the Dana 60 front. I would think your Adv Auto has something mixed up if they sell the the rotors, even without brgs for $56.00 ea. Might want to double-check that.

    SF97 with sale issues

SC is same way. Since the SF-97 don't have a place for you to sign it over, you must get it titled in your name and get the SC title-then sign it over to whoever you are selling it to. Its also way the SC is sure to get its taxes for it.

24v on hot side of Fuse Panel???

You proably know this, but when checking any of the wiring/fuse panel, you should set your volt meter, if it's the type that you have to set range of volts on. DON"T set it on just 20V because if you run into volts over 20v you can get an erroronous reading. I always set my cheapo voltmeter on...

    Open Plane Intake

The open type intakes were made for the HUMVEE engines specificlly. There are designed much lower profile so the the hood on vechicle will close. As to HP, I don't think that this designe would add much HP as ONLY "AIR" goes through this (NOT FUEL). It might help a little to smooth up the intake...

    M1031 generator speed control

If you had your gear shift lever in "D" or "2" and it ran way too high, then you need to check the micro switch located on the shifter lever under your hood which is right under the steering column where you can see the compression spring that works with shifter lever. When you pull it in...

    Smokes White and no start

I have two of the six trucks converted to the PB and the resistor bypassed. However, since I did this (2+yrs) I still use the slave adaptor to becranked or crank one of the others. I still have the 24V starter so still have 24V going to the slave outlet. I also some of the 24V Robo Impact...

    battery overcharge?

Unless you have money to burn, I would have it repaired at a reliable alternator shop. I have had 6-10 of these repaired an it has never been over $35.00 and usually it is the regulator. I suggest, if you do it this way, I would take the other one in with bad one & just ask them to check it. I...
