What I meant was when I turned the key the starter engaged, however the engine did not start. It seemed to not be getting fuel. I use the tech manuals but I admit I couldn't find in them how to put in the fuel filter so I just put it on, which I'm pretty sure was wrong and stupid.

Well I cleaned all or the connections and did the doghead relay modification. Low and behold the ignition seemed to work, however the engine didn't turn over.
