    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    353 will fit just fine, 453 will take a bigger shoehorn. But dont let that stop you! There is a lot of room in the frame and between the the floor and the bottom of the frame, a 453t with a set of jakes, medium duty 10 speed transmission and a divorced 205 would be an awesome combo! Just...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    The deals are out there, I picked up a SD33T for 300 bucks recently. The motor is essentially scrap metal to most people, unless they have an interest in it. Look in Craigslist for "scout diesel" or the like. A lot of the ones on the boards go for much more money. How are you going to adapt...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    The Cummins do not cavitate nearly as bad as other engine designs for a couple reasons, but everything looked really good when I tore it down and had it hot tanked, other than some wear on the cyls. The crank was actually oversized and cleaned up nicely with some polishing. Cyl walls were...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    The 4bt is easy to work on, it just sucks down money like it is going out of style. It should be cool when its done. A friend of mine saw this pass him on a trailer so I thought I should look up some pictures. It is clean! Rare 1985 Jeep CJ-10 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Bunch of pics in that set

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    Occasionally someone else posts in it. I don't think "auxillary equipment" gets as much traffic as some of the other forums on here8-) Injection pump is still out getting worked on. As is my luck with this motor from **** the injection pump needs a complete rebuild. But it will get done...

    It is amazing what a motivator a nice fresh coat of paint can be.

    Operation Storage Unit Exodus

    That truck with a 4bt, somewhat modern drivetrain, newer axles that were maintenance friendly (I know some of that old international stuff can be hard to find) would be my daily driver in a heartbeat. Good looking piece of sheetmetal there.

    Who would think about a shortened 101 trailer bed for a pickup truck!?! Start a thread on it:beer:

    NICE 4BT! Any plans? I have one in my Jeep and have thought of putting it in a bunch of other stuff.

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    I asked jscherb about rear windows, he seems to know more about oddball Jeep hard tops than anyone else I have ever seen. He had no clue about where to get replacements. I am putting a pretty beefy headache rack in front of my bed just because the rear window is so hard to find. I think the...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    It takes a lot of time and effort to make it "simple", thats for sure. A lot of people do not understand that. It takes time to make it look like it always existed, not like you cooked it up in your driveway. I spent a lot of time on my CJ7 and it takes people 5-10 minutes to figure out they...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    I am going mine in OD green, no markings. The wifey shot it down! Oh well. She puts up with a lot. I would run 4.88s at least and keep the tire size 35 or less for running around town with the stock engine. 100 HP is not much to work with! I think it would be much better with a manual too...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    I mocked up the body with the top and doors to make sure my other windshield would fit and make sure the seats would work. Everything looks pretty good. It looks like it is high up front, but I am thinking 1k of Cummins and transmission/transfercase will settle the springs a little. It is...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    Nope. Width is as stock as it was when it came out of the factory in 1966. It lines up nicely with the TJ flares and I like the look of the wide bed, I am still going for a little of the "baby bobber" look, and the M35 bed sticks way out of the side of the cab. It would be very easy to narrow...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    Factory CJ heater, never had a problem with one. I have room for CJ air conditioning, but I do not know how long I will be in Texas, and it would be kind of a pain to add. When I am working outside I usually do not run the AC anyways, and I drive home and to work early in the morning when it...

    Both, technically. 40/20/40 split from a Dodge Dakota. Fits like a glove! Well, not OJ's glove, but...

    CJ10a Flightline Tug --> 4wd Pickup Truck

    I posted these earlier but they are still great pics. Running, driving before I tore it back down! If these pics don't do it, you probably will not be gettng a trailer from the wife!! rofl

    Hard top is in great shape. All primered and ready to go. Waiting to do some body work then spray it all at the same time.

    7100 gallon water tank. If you could plumb that into the fuel tank and fill it up with diesel you might be able to get decent range out of it!!

    Think of it as a set of boobs. Sure you have seen a couple in your life, but you wont turn down looking at another set, will you? Everyone loves an in process pic. Then I know someone is going as slow as I am! Got the body mocked up at least, hopefully for the last time. Need to do some...
