IP rebuilds. How pricey are they? I got my CUCV done for 1100.00 and they pulled and installed it. It hurt and I would have preferred doinig the work but didnt have a garage and it was in themiddle of Jan. So how much for one off of a duece?
Thats good to know.
Im still working on the "get truck" portion of the equation since Drexel didnt pan out. I wanted to know how hard it would be to get a heater if the truck I got didnt have one. Also helped me prioritized heater trucks from non... In the future I dont think it will matter...
Would appreciate anybodys notes or thoughts on the lots coming up for Columbus (dueces only). If you got to inspect them which ones were parts trucks and which ones were runners. I need a runner.
Does Columbus even allow for inspections? Details werent listed.

RE: dangerous truck
I have worked for NPS and a few other agencies and have driven a butt load of trucks but never saw a water buffalo used in conjunction with sn off road suppression op. You would have the water available yet could cut it loose ITSHTF and would be able to recover a rebuildable...
I think when I bid this week I'm going to go down to the motor pool thats a block down from my home and have my buddies at Pedicord watch the goofy bidding "problems that GL says theyre sorry for". I couldnt add some of the lots during the bidding to my watchlist and the indivdual lot page was...
Didnt get a deuce this time around. Bid late with a few of you but didnt wanna settle for a truck that I was paying too much for. So Robyn... How long will it be before Drexel Gardens gets another load of deuces? It would seem they moved quite a few and would like to jump on one before the well...
RE: Re: Smyrna,TN trucks
I was curious about that too...
Sparta had a couple of trucks that went for *a-hem* less than 1300. Hard tops, heaters, and what I thought were super singles?!?! Stated they were driven onto the lot??? When Drexel had Lot 5009 that listed as didnt run and went for I...

Nothing makes the kids wave like an army Blazer. A trip to WallyMart is almost a parade with 5yo boys pulling their mom's hand saying "look...look!" Been driving mine for a few years now.
I just wonder how that deuce will measure up..? I'll find out today. Thnx again for shaing ur notes
Im looking and googled and ran a search on SS but really cant seem to find a surplus joint selling cab heaters. Any ideas like memphis? I just cant seem to find them and if I get an idea of how much they are that would move an auction deuce w/ heat up or down on the my watch list.
RE: Brakes
I was side swiped in my Blazer last year when some doofus blew a red light. It literally puta small dent in the front d/s bumper corner of my cucv put pulled the bed off of his s-10. The brush guard is a little bent too...
That cucv was pretty well made in 84 but its size doesnt...
What would be just stupidcool is if someone, anyone, who would be making the entire trip had a lap top and wireless at&t or nextel or whoever card and could post updates and pics along the way... or even podcast it dare I say. It would be like being there inspirit for the unlucky who cant...
