M1009. It runs good, starts very easy, etc.
But, at idle (even when warmed up)... there is a little roughness that comes and goes. Well, it always does it... but it is not constant.
Sitting at stop lights is when I notice it the most. Cant remember if I notice it when it is in park or not...
That is a true way to do it if you are lifting a truck with new, non sagging springs.
If the front springs have sagged 2 inches say... then a 4 inch lift spring would actually give you 6 inches of lift.
I still would go with a 2 inch spring and if you have to add a 1 inch block after that to...
Do you want to lift it also, or just level it out?
I think 4 inch springs would raise it more than the rear. Try two inch springs in the front and nothing in the rear.
Depends on what you use your truck for. For a lot of people... locking it in on the street doesn't happen much. Like me... I would say that 95% of the time I lock it in... I am not on the road. So, I will gladly give up a little road manners for a huge improvement in off road ability, and I...
I agree... shouldnt crank slow. My M1008 is slow turning over and gets a little harder to start when its cold. My M1009 cranks like a bat outta **** and starts fine no matter the temp.
No, just the first time I inspected the fuel filter close. There was a date written on the filter which didnt cause me concern, so I have been taking core of other things first. And the bottle was tucked away nicely hidden.
I have only had this truck about a month.
There is a hose out the bottom, which I understand to be the drain and then also a clear hose off the passenger side. Looks like it has been there a long time as the plastic is pretty hard and brittle.
Then there is a old plastic Pepsi bottle tucked into the fender in its 'keeping place'.
I...
After reading up on the fuel filter change, I went under the hood to to see for myself just what I needed to do.
And what do I find!!! A 20 ouch pop bottle and two hoses all hooked up. Didnt need to prepare anything other than a new filter.
It was all there and ready to go.
And, somehow now...
This site is great.
I will be working late the next couple days. I may not get to this until Saturday late afternoon or Sunday (my day off).
I will report back what I find!
Thanks everyone.
Yes, I plan on searching for the reason the fuse blew. But, first I NEED to get my turn signals working again.
Hate driving without turn signals.
I was told that a single bad bulb can cause all the flashers to not work?
