    5 ton recovery

Did the tires show and visual or physical signs of problems before the blow outs? Almost every A2 I've seen had creases in the sidewall from sitting flat. Just curious if those did too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

    Calling all wheel/tire gods!

Only problem is most I've seen surplused recently are junk. I'd love a set for my m817 to run at duals Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

    Threw a Torque Rod today

As long as they are greased occasionally and aren't made from low quality materials, they should last almost forever with the use that 99.9% of these trucks get. I'm sure somebody may wear them out but it will likely be from lack of maitenance. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

    Threw a Torque Rod today

So your going to swap them to the ball joint style as the old bushing type fail? I'm curious to see your results since you rack up a lot of miles. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

FOUND! Stolen M939 out of Monroe Washington

Not trying to start an argument here but if the guy who stole it, who probably has nothing, got in a head on collision and killed people who do you think the insurance company and lawyers will go after? The thief with nothing or the owner who left it unsecured? Not saying it's right or trying...

FOUND! Stolen M939 out of Monroe Washington

Don't twist what I'm saying. If you have a gun, is it a good idea to leave it loaded in the passenger seat of your car while you run in to the store? No. I agree that you should be able to but that's not the reality these days. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

FOUND! Stolen M939 out of Monroe Washington

It's not responsible for mv owners to leave it that accessible. Major damage could have been caused if an intoxicated person had decided to go for a joy ride. The thief was wrong and should be punished but the truck should be secured if left in such an open place. Would you leave any other...

    m931a2 emergency shut off issue

Why would you hear them disengaging? The resting position is disengaged. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

Anyone regret goin to 16.00r20 Tires on M923a2?

I run them with Hemtt rims and it was a huge improvement. Rides smoother and sidewall flex is reduced which improves cornering while loaded. Lower RPM at cruise so didn't really notice an mpg change. Power was bumped on the 8.3 so no issues there either. Originally I swapped my A0 11r20's...

    Threw a Torque Rod today

It's unlikely they could have them custom made and sell them at that price. It's most likely some stock application that someone took the time to look up. Anyone work at an autoparts store? Most likely from a medium duty truck application. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

    Adding PTO to 923A2

Most commercial rigs (90's vintage or older) have no safety on air pto engagement. If you flip it at the wrong time, the grinding noise will remind you its not time. They last a long time in commercial applications so I'd be shocked if anyone ever wore one out on an mv. Your more likely to...

Newbie finally legit, no longer lurking

Replace at least the steer tires, the XL's are old and I've seen quite a few blow out. Nice truck though! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

    flip a Deuce

In my area, Washington State, deuces sell for 2-5k all the time and scrap is next to nothing currently so 3k isn't far off for an old high maintenance "hobby" vehicle that's loud and leaks when it rains. Second, I doubt any electrician is over bidding a job to buy extra copper to scrap it for...

    8.3 fuel filter upgrade?

Out of curiosity why do you say to avoid Baldwin and Wix? Those are generally regarded as quality filters. I've run Baldwin filters on my Mack for about 600,000 miles with no filter related issues. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Best way is to get about 10-15% on the hitch. Any more than that stresses the components and reduces your steering ability on wet or loose surfaces. Hard to get a feel for that unless your using the same equipment every time though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Looks a little toung heavy. I usually load mine opposite with the boom forward when using a short equipment trailer like that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
