    Engine Locked? | 855 Cummins

And just as a comparison, my Mack CH13 with end dump scaling out at 85-90k will hit 60 before my stock NHC 250 M923 will empty. My 8.3 truck is a rocket though! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

    Engine Locked? | 855 Cummins

That's not far off. Only 5 gears, no turbo. How old is the diesel? Maybe a little low on power but don't throw money at the problem. Clean the system and adjust. Install an EGT gauge. It's likely just out of adjustment. These are very simple engines. Get that dialed in and turn the power...

    Engine Locked? | 855 Cummins

How do you know it's low on power? It's a big truck with a 250 horse diesel. Have you driven others? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

    Engine Locked? | 855 Cummins

Sounds normal to me. Run it hard and have fun. No reason to rip it apart unless you want to for the fun of it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

Nevada - 5 ton's license plates pulled by DMV

Simple answer is do the research in your own state. At the end of the day it's your A$$ on the line so error on the side of caution and don't ruin it for everyone else! Now lock this before it gets any more personal! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

Nevada - 5 ton's license plates pulled by DMV

The key item in the quote below is "class or type". A motor home isn't a "class" of vehicle that is traditionally designed or used as a commercial vehicle. An ex military cargo, tractor or dump truck could be used as a commercial vehicle (size, capacity and design are very similar to...

    Threw a Torque Rod today

Those appear to be a ball joint. I wonder what application they are from, probably way cheaper if we were able to find out. Then they could be purchased at the auto parts store Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

Got pulled over today. Smoke Issue

What he said, safer for engine too. Injectors or other work may be needed but this will get you back on the road for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    5 ton air lockers?

5 ton air lockers??? It seems the ARB deuce lockers are around 1k. I've found take out Detroit's for $350 to $450 so I'd pay double for a selectable locker. Or if someone wants to point me in the direction of a factor air locking front axle... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    5 ton air lockers?

For the record, if they came in at $700 per axle or less I'd be in for 3. At 1k each, I'd be up for 1 for the front and throw detroits in the rears. At over 1k, I'm out. I'll wait patiently now. [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    5 ton air lockers?

Great to hear!! Now hopefully the price is reasonable, I would have loved the locking front hubs from another vendor but the price was a little steep for this guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Buying a M939 at auction: What to look for and to be prepared to fix

Both are cummins engines. One is old (50's) but proven technology, the other is newer (80's) and also proven technology. Both are good engines so make your choice based on overall truck condition, not just what engine it has. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Buying a M939 at auction: What to look for and to be prepared to fix

To get through Canada, you barge it from Seattle to your port of choice in Alaska and drive from there. Barge is cheaper than driving once you factor in fuel and potential issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Needed assistance with lmtv

Based on the issues your having and this question, I'm going to say it's probably best for you to get it towed home. Then you'll have time to have it fixed or fix it yourself as well as learn about the proper maintenance and operation of your new rig. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
