    Converting M923A0 to M923A1

We've done this to several A0's, and didn't notice any power difference (with 1400's), but hiway cruising speed goes up to 62-65.

    M939 engine and trannie removal

Are you sure there is a tranny mount? When we pulled the 8.3, we separated the tranny first, then pulled the motor. The tranny came forward several inches as we tugged on the motor. All that was holding it was the fluid and other control connections. Maybe the NHC250 is different- if that's what...

Very common to see Nellis trucks with this problem. This motor does not like to sit out in the 120 degree sun for months or years!

    Temporary Insurance Question (Binder Policy)

Yes, you an get a binder issued for your truck. I would not drive over scales with a private vehicle, during transport to home- where you will be outfitting with safety gear.

No offense taken. You didn't charge for your time? That's why I pay for the upgrade membership- to help cover expenses of the site. I would hope you get paid for your efforts, which I appreciate. Back to the topic- that minigun mount is awesome!

    Moving Iron the Military Way

The best way to move military trucks from point A to B is to prep and drive them. Choose a truck that can go the distance, then put her to work and make the trip. Sometimes you need to move something that isn't running, that's were a big rig and trailer come in. My choice is the 915 series and...

    Ether Alternatives?

Use the ether bottles and set your truck up to work with the bottles. It's slick and effective. The bottles are the correct ether for diesel engines. They have lubrication added. I have heard there are some types of starting fluid that are not lubed and should not be used in diesels.
