Does the pressure always build up steadily to 65 and than just hold there. If I remember correctly you need to turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise to increase pressure.
Any chance they cross over to a gasket on the deuce fuel cans. If I order them online from NAPA 10 ~15 at a time then the shipping ends up being almost nill per gasket. Just a thought.
I was thinking the same thing. Some people try to interchange 88+ parts to a earlier year not thinking that the later serpentine belt style pumps and fans run reverse from the 87 and earlier years. A good factory fan and clutch assembly will be far superior to a fixed fan anyway.
I do everything myself except break down tires. I did that a couple of times 35+ years ago and only because I got paid to do it. No garage just in the driveway or backyard. Also it would depend on the MV you are considering. Something along the 1009, 1008, 1028, 1031 are no more than a slightly...
Like PSturg66 indicated that hub is toast. The outer cup should be a press fit in the hub. At some point in it's life they spun a bearing. Local wreaking yard should have those hubs a dime a dozen.
I would imagine that would depend on the model. I was looking at a 712 6X6 and they should make a great off-road truck but they seem to have a differential gear problem at sustained highway speeds unless upgraded to a “gen2” gear set which looks to be rather expensive compared to the cost of the...
I'm no expert but maybe the replacement came from a "A3" model. Not sure they use a different spring or not but I would think a 5 ton spring would be much longer and wider than a deuce.
For trucks over 10K GVWR it is 25. This is from the Maryland MVA site

Just to add a few ideas
Does it do this only when running under load or will it demonstrate the same tendency if running with no load ?
Is it a smooth gradual slowdown, like closing the throttle or rough running and fighting for life, missing and stumbling, or just...
How much room is around the deuce when inside the "lightweight maintenance enclosure". I might have some room coming available in the back yard and was just thinking...
