    CUCV Registration Question

I picked my M1009 up in OK and it already had a title and plate registered as a D10 Chevy blazer. Texas transferred the title and issued plates, no problem. USAA insured it after I explained that it was former military.

So may of the CUCV electrical issues fall back on corrosion. I've gone back and cleaned every contact I find and it sure has helped me.

    Motor let loose this AM!

Copy that. I've seen just a few advertised on Ebay or craigslist. Most are "unknowns" but a couple of companies have "compression checked/ run" 6.2's available. Kind of wanted to work on this M1009 myself. Just not this much this soon!

    Motor let loose this AM!

As far as I'm aware, I didn't have any indication it was failing. From what little I have read, the symptom are "a knocking sound and additional vibration". I've been around a few of these early production V8 diesels and I'm not sure I'd be able to notice any addition vibration or knocking...

    Motor let loose this AM!

Barrman,Donk: The pink wire to the IP has a good connection. Natem: The threads I've been reading say the glow plugs are is a "pre-combustion" chamber, but I guess I'll see as go through it. glcaines: She tries to start but with a good amount of noice coming from who know's where. I've started...

    Motor let loose this AM!

Not sure what happened this morning, haven't started to tear into it yet, but the 6.2 let loose on the drive to work this AM. Don't remember it giving any hint before it happened and really, I'm just guessing, but total loss of power. Sounded like I blew two tires, pulled over as the motor...
