I did something similar. I carry an air hose on my truck for airing up tires etc. I took two male quick disconnect fittings and screwed them together. This allows me to connect the glad hand on the truck to my shop air. Now I can air up the truck before I start it. This lets me get it out of the...
For some years I’ve been cutting a bar of Irish Spring soap and leaving the pieces under my seats. I’ve been told that mice don’t like the smell of it and it helps to keep them out of the cab. I have mice on my property but I don’t see any evidence of them in my vehicles. I did have a mouse...
You should consider joining the MVPA. They have a publication called History in Motion. In there they list all of the local affiliate groups. It brings a lot to your hobby when you are involved with other local folks.
I have done what you are doing. In 2019 I was on the MVPA convoy from York PA to San Francisco. I had to jump out in Delta Ut. and get home fast. I drove back to Michigan in 2 1/2 days. It was no fun pushing that hard but I made it. My only advise is get rest when you stop. If you feel tired get...

Welcome to the hobby! You will find this site a valuable resource of information and parts. Please post more pictures, we like that around here.
Since this is your first MV, how long is your driveway? You have to consider your next two or three vehicles in the near future… Opps, I didn’t mean to...
If you’re not going to move it until spring, consider having shrink wrapped. That’s what they do with boats. Keeps them dry and clean. It also holds up to wind.
You’re not asking dumb questions. That’s not a problem here. Helping new members is what we do. At some point you are going to see that you landed on one the best sites for any hobby. I don’t know much about your HMMWV so I won’t be much help except to tell you that you are getting real good...
Welcome to the hobby! When I bought my M934 from GP, it had been sitting for eight years . We prepped the truck for the 1,000 mile drive home. It ran pretty bad for the first couple hundred miles. As we kept filling it with fresh fuel and additives it ran better and stronger. By the time we made...
