    1 OEM Humvee glow plug

No one has a old glow plug they pulled out when they swapped in all new ones? As long as it's not a china plug i'm fine with it being used and good.

2010 6.5 4l80 gets to 50 no overdrive and no trans light

When I got my humvee I was getting the same code 73 and these guys helped me out a bunch. My problem ended up being voltage. I was getting something like 3 less volts at the batteries than at the alternator, where the alternator wires transfer power through the body and into the battery box...

VA General liability ins for HMMWV

I told them I use mine for leisure which seemed to be fine. Progressive is another company that covers them I believe which I currently switched all my other vehicles to but didn't look into changing the humvee.

VA General liability ins for HMMWV

why insure it if it never leaves the farm? I had state farm and they would only do it under commercial liability for 700 bucks a year. I ended up getting full coverage for the same amount through Hagerty and no weird hopes to jump through.

    Stuck tie rod ends

If heat doesn't do it I think I would cut the tie rod end off here. After the end is off slip a nut over it and weld it on from the inside of the nut, then you can use a impact on it after you heat it back up again.

Eliminating 1 LB of rotating mass = 8.4 LBS of static mass. Let's upgrade TIRES

I think it would be a lot like adding a lightweight flywheel to a engine, less rotating mass so it spins up faster but since there less mass is it also easier to bog down (momentum). I think this would apply to the tires to and mileage wouldn't change a whole lot tho it might be a little peppier...

Front end wobble only at 30-35mph

pulled the drives side front shock today and with the shock out there is little resistance to fully compress the shock. extending the shock takes a lot more force and is what I would expect.

Front end wobble only at 30-35mph

I could see it being a bad shock, it's a new problem so no chopped tires but I've already checked the ball joints. most of the time pulling shocks is easy if the humvee is no different than I'll just pull them to check them out.

Front end wobble only at 30-35mph

was able to test swapping the tires front to back today, made no different the front end still bobs up and down. so can rule out the tires. didn't check alignment yet.

Front end wobble only at 30-35mph

well had time to swap tires front to back today but I've got stuff on it setup for the 4th of July parade in the morning so I'll have to test it after that.

Front end wobble only at 30-35mph

Up and Down. Ya I've been thinking I need to swap them to see if it's the tires or not. It's nice out today so I might be able to get that done today.

Front end wobble only at 30-35mph

Balance could still be a issue if one of the tires in messed up internally but I would image you would fell some vibration at highway speeds then. Alignment is not something I have looked at and will definitely look at the alignment, would do it now if it wasn't raining.

Front end wobble only at 30-35mph

Hey guys was wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue. My humvee is a 1097r with 6.5/4 speed and the front end seems to hop/wobble between 30-35mph but is perfect at all other speeds. Thought it might be my tires so I rebalanced them with weights twice and it didn't help, so I ended up...

50/50 Diesel Gas Mix as Deuce Fuel?

if I had the rig and the oil I'd try it. I've ran diesels on other stuff in a pinch and it's been fine. just cut the thicker oil with a thinner one till its about the viscosity of diesel has always worked for me.

50/50 Diesel Gas Mix as Deuce Fuel?

chainsaw bar oil would be cheaper and add more lubrication i would think. Blains farm and fleet Mystic bar oil $9.99 a gallon Vs Walmarts supertech TC-W3 $21.43 a gallon.

    Nightmare for a noob…….

I would start by checking all your fluids like mentioned above, just because they were changed doesn't mean that everything isn't full of diesel fuel now.

    1 OEM Humvee glow plug

All my current glow plugs ohm at 2.0 except one that's open so looking for just 1 OEM glow plug doesn't even have to be new as long as it ohms at 2.0 or less. Thanks

    Keyed Switch

If i'm worried about someone taking it I just use the factory issued steering wheel lock cable and leave the shifter in gear. That way if someone was to jump in it not only will it not start they won't be able to turn the wheel if they do figure out how to start it so I assume they would just...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

looks good, if your really good with working with fiberglass you should figure out a way to make reasonable priced OEM style hard doors and sell them.

Log of my M1165. Project Joshua.

I forget that I live in one of the lucky few states where that is not required by law and we also don't have vehicle inspections.
