Been sound proofing the humvee and the quieter it gets the more I notice the power steering. Maybe it's on it's way out but I'm still not sure why it only makes noise after steep hill climbing and then goes back to normal with enough time.

well never did figure this out made sure the fluid was good and full. climbed with it again today and getting the same noise after climbing. I did notice on the way home that pushing hard on the brake pedal makes the noise worse. will have to look into that in the morning.

I couldn't see a conversion being useful but adding a electric helper fan or 2 could decrease the amount of time the stock fan runs.

the guys on here were really helpful when my tranny was acting funny. have you tired using a jumper wire and seeing if there are any tranny codes?

easier yes but also less quality, I started with earmuffs and they work but a little sound deadening will give you better results without wearing anything on your head.

why do you say that? I've dropped it over 10dbs so far without to much work now you can talk at 55mph without yelling. seems like another 10dbs is doable without pulling the body.
