I helped Dave pick up his new (1985) U1300 Unimog just a few weeks ago from Expedition Imports. Very big and clean truck. His Pinzgauer is a 716K that he has converted to a soft top. Here is a picture of it on a trail near Parker, Az.

who out here has a Pinzgauer

I have had mine for 2 and a half years now and put over 30K miles on it. I don't understand when people say they are expensive to operate and maintain. I have had to do very little to the truck to keep it on the road and have really enjoyed the modifications I have done to the truck. I use...

Here's another question. Where does the blackout light connect into the electrical system. The Swiss Pizngauer has a connection already wired in to the blackout switch. Does the Unimog have similar place? Thanks, Mike

    electrical plug for mog

I am looking for the small (smaller than cigerette lighter) female plug on a Swiss 404 mog. Does anyone know exactly where this is? I have heard it is near the circuit breakers on the fire wall but was unable to find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
