I know, old thread but mine is having the same issues. Was the fuse LITD mentioned the added fuse on the back wall or is there one right behind the guage panel I missed?

You can still call GP and buy an SF97. I did that one a trailer I bought. About 6 months after picking it up, I realized the SF 97 would be helpful and relieve a lot of potential headaches (California DMV). Simple phone call and payment over the phone. Took about 6 weeks, but I got it.

Sunday I pulled my M1082 trailer up towards Lake Tahoe to sell my trailer to another member in hear ((Thanks Wandering Neurons!!). It was a great drive up highway 88 from Plymouth to the 88/89 junction where we met up. Weather was awesome and of course the snow is still pretty heavy above 7,000...

I have not, but kind of thinking the same as Tinstar on this one. I would rather tear them apart and regrease them so I can check bearing/cup wear and clean out any stuff that doesn't belong in there (like dirt left from all the mud and yuck I have driven though!)

Those are well built trailers and actually overbuilt for their rated capacity in my opinion. Love the tie down rings in the bed. Just wish they had lash points on the outside like the older trailers did.

Assuming your trailer is "new" 10 or more years ago, you SHOULD repack them anyways. It's a simple process and only takes a couple of hours to do both sides. Also gets you familiar with tearing it down so if you ever had to do so on the side of a road, it will be a simple process. Carrying one...

I like your thought process on this one and agree that it would have used a diesel engine if production had continued. I will be watching the progress on this one!

Starting to get together my plans to paint my truck green and eventually camo, and just wondering from those of you that have painted a M1078......how many gallons of paint should I orcer?

Which sticker goes to which color? I want to take pics and hopefully they can scan the barcode if for some reason they cant figure it out.

Not to be a downer, but if you do drive it home, don't count on averaging 65MPH in the M1009. The naturally aspirated 6.2 was never known for its power climbing grades. I have an M1028 and I can tell you hills are 45 MPH (as long as they are not steep) and if you're maxing out the pedal to try...

Pics or partial inventory list? So as in like buy your entire inventory or having a sale on most everything to make room for more?

Just a thought...do you have an area outside you could erect one of those garage tents and possibly work on it outside the shop? Could be taken down and reused later if another tall vehicle was on your list. Could also act later as a paint booth, etc.

If you can, share pictures of the damaged parts. You may find some folks that have either had the same or similar issues, may share some tips to avoid mistakes or make things easier, or may have parts you need to repair your own.

I am having issues with my computer and haven't been able to upload a photo, but if you look at the back of the alternator, there should be marked posts (POS and Neg). Just use your multimeter to touch the posts while its running for alternator output.
